If Glennon was smart ....he'd be very very happy his 120lb (looking) frame wont be subjected to college defenders just yet. He'll have more time to bulk up and learn the system. Hopefully we can chain together QB prospects in a year or so so we can cycle QB's and no longer have to rely on Freshman qb's to turn out to be all world, and we can give them a year or two to get ready to play.

Glennon will get his time to play.

With Wilsons style, and his running instincts, I have a feeling that injurys will play a big part of his college football career, so Glennon will get his chances to come in and hit some reps, and then 2 years from now, we may see a dual system where he gets a few drives each game, just to mix it up ... and then starts fully his junior/senior years, depending on how wilson does/where he goes.

Glennon will get his chance because I think if Wilson gets the chance, as I believe he will, he will go to the MLB and drop football.

Wilson will probably stay 2 more years and that could be stretching it a bit.

damn 70 passes in a game. His arm must've been like jello after that game. And wilson's streak came close to being ended quite a few times but luckily the holes' defense let our receivers rub off on them.

Trying to keep glennon is absolutely not worth getting rid of wilson early. If glennon goes, that just means that TOB will have to find someone else.


It's the coaching staff's job to either keep glennon or find out about his departure early so that they can work on other recruits.

In practices he is known to try to test his limits to see what could happen, that is when he makes mistakes. Learns from those in the practice and doesn't repeat in games. At least the last 3-4 weeks of practice.

a. wilson was not all-acc in baseball at any position
b. wilson had starts at three spots last season, none of which were shortstop
c. he is on a football scholarship

Ye, I was at Kenan stadium and our O-line did one hell of a job giving Wilson time to look down field and find folks. At the SC game, our O-line couldnt block anyone for shit...but they've progressed and gelled along with our QB.

If things keep improving week by week.....we may find ourselves looking as great if not better then how we looked against UNC! Great job State O-line, QB WIlson, and our stable of RB-Brown, Eugene, etc.

Our field goal kicker needs some extra practice though! GO PACK!! GREAT WIN! How I wish i had tickets to the Miami game next week...that one is going to be one hell of a ball game!

Ya this guy is legit. I was most impressed with him after he ran for the td, he goes back to the bench, isnt smiling, isnt joking around, isnt showboating, but just goes to the bench and sits and waits to go back on the field. Even after a great game like he played, he is still a humble qb and thats a huge part of being great, I believe.

Seriously. Chill out. I don't think we have anything to worry about. Not yet, at least. RW is almost guaranteed to play MLB, right? (well, that's what i heard, although some posts above suggest otherwise). He has no future in Pro Football. Despite his tremendous and much appreciated success, it's very unlikely he'll still be playing his (football) senior year, possibly even his junior. He's already in his second year in baseball.

Have you watched the Glennon videos?

It'll be nice if we have two quarterbacks we can interchange on drives.

^As much as I'm looking forward to Glennon playing, it'd be absolutely retarded to try and interchange them during a game. The only time that seems to work is when you have two, one-dimensional QBs. You bring one in to shake things up a bit.

As good as Wilson has been playing, you leave him in as long as he wants to be in.

^^ I think Wilson plays his RS-Junior season, and if he's doing well enough in baseball to go fairly high in the draft, he'll leave for MLB after that. He's a character kid, and I would be surprised if he didn't stick around to get his degree, which would put him on track to be here through his RS-Junior season. This is assuming he doesn't take a ton of extra classes/summer classes, which seems unlikely considering he's got to keep up with both football and baseball.

He's the man now and Glennon is the man waiting in the wings. We need both and I think Glennon is smart enough to realize that and not get discouraged. Either way, the future looks bright for our offense, which worries me because I haven't been able to say that since Philip Rivers was here. Haha.

I think a lot depends on Glennon's character and how the coaches handle this. He seems like a good kid who might understand that he's behind a special QB right now and that he really has to wait this one out.

That being said, he's still an elite 11 QB. Most of this kids go into programs where they are starting by their sophomore or junior years...and you know they all have NFL aspirations. If the coaches can somehow convince him that he can show enough starting his entire senior year to make the NFL...and hopefully we'll be good enough in the next couple years to where he can get a good amount of playing time in 2nd halves and be satisfied with just waiting until Russel's gone...whether it's during his junior or senior year.

Bottom line...we have a great QB right now and it would seem at least a decent back-up for the next few years. And there are other good QBs playing high school now that we can sign and have ready to play whenever Russel and/or Glennon leave.

Well TOB and his staff have a pretty good track record at getting their backup QBs some playing time as they move along with their progression. Crane got way more playing time, including a start, under TOB then he did during Jags first year. Jags should have gotten Crane some playing time last year knowing that Ryan would be gone the following year.

I think RW plays next year and then goes MLB. Which should help Glennon get one more year under him, work him in some, and let the young OL get better. We're going to need a stout OL when Glennon gets under center and I think with the talent we got last year and with the coaching we have, that'll be perfect timing for getting Glennon under center.

I think you have RW next year and then Glennon after that. The OL will keep getting better, the RBs should be solid with Brandon Barnes(if as good as expected) and the young WRs we have(Graham, Smith, etc.), I think our O gets back to top-tier in the ACC once again.

Just have to hope to avoid injuries.

There are 50 rounds in the MLB Draft. If Wilson has four limbs and a .150 batting average, he'll be picked. The only eligibility requirements are that he's completed his junior year or is at least 21.

Plenty of guys are picked in later rounds after their junior year but come back in hopes of being selected higher the next year, though.

If they don't go pro right out of HS and go to college, players must spend 3 years in college before they are eligible for the MLB draft. Usually the good players get drafted and jump ship after their junior year.

I'm glad this coaching staff can adapt to talent. A lot of people think that all TOB and Co. had at BC was pure pocket QBs, but they used Paul Peterson much in the same way that they are using Russell Wilson now, and TOB has admitted as much. I think Proctor the QB we have coming in will benefit from actually being able to wait longer to play. He'll be able to develop his arm more. I also think he will become a hybrid of the Glennon/Wilson style of play. Proctor is 6-2 and will be able to see over the line like Glennon, but is agile enough that we can roll him out like Wilson to either throw or run for the 1st down.
