Dexter

This is a Showtime series actually recommended to me a couple years ago by Netflix based on my movie and TV ratings. It was available to watch online and after just the first episode I was hooked. In fact it was so good it was one of the main reasons I ordered Showtime!

For those who may not know the show, it's about a serial killer who targets people who manage to slip through the cracks of the legal system. Ironically he also works for the police as a blood spatter analyst. One of the best cast and well written shows out there!

Wait... So it was SUPPOSED to be garbage?

Then why did you have such hope for it?

Recently have been working my way through all of these. I was really surprised how much I liked Porco Rosso, I'd recommend it. I really have enjoyed all of Miyazaki's movies so far (Nausicaa, Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke and Totoro are the ones that I've seen so far). Also through those ads that they have at the beginning of the DVD I learned about My Neighbors the Yamadas (Also from studio Ghibli) which was really enjoyable too, like a moving water-color painting.

I just rented "Baraka" and thought it was really good. Its a documentary but there is no narration, just music. The photography is amazing, especially the time-lapse stuff. It covers everything from nature>tribal peoples>big cities. I bet it would be really nice in HD

i just watched The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters and really enjoyed it.
it's about a guy that gets laid off and tries to beat the world record score in Donkey Kong.
if you like documentaries and are somewhat nerdy (like me) i would certainly recommend it. it really kept my interest.

I've been generally disappointed with the Watch Now releases... I thought that after the xbox integration that there would be a swarm of awesome movies.

I second this.

Its real confusing the first time.

I recommend watching it, then going and doing a bunch of googling on the movie, then watching it again. Itll help clear it up.

If you liked Back To The Future (who doesn't?), check out a movie called Interstate 60. It never made it to a wide release, but it should have.

EveryThing is Illuminated is the best newer movie i've watch on the instant queue. both funny and touching.

I kind of want to watch Story of O, but don't want netflix trying to recommend S&M porn.

mainly i watch old carry grant and humphrey bogart movies.
