Well good series win for the Rays. I will be cheering for the Phillies since I have friends that are huge Phillies fans. I think the Rays had the perfect storm this year. Great young hitters, some good starters to put around Kazmir and a bullpen that was pretty good in the regular season. They will be a force for a few years at least if not longer.

The Sox will be back next season.

Few other notes.

The Sox have some tough decisions, do you let 'Tek leave. Do you trust Lowrie as the Shortstop of the future, do you find a 3rd base replacement for Lowell. Timlin had a good run but he needs to leave. The Sox need to find some bullpen help and possibly another arm in the starting rotation. Maybe make a run at Jake Peavy, offer CC but he's a lefty power pitcher so I doubt he will want to come to Boston.

Congrats to the Rays organization and team and the fans who showed up and supported that team when they were bad, but screw the bandwagon fans that showed up when the playoffs started. The cowbell thing is almost as gay as the thunderstix.

I am sure all the Boston haters are happy but thats mainly jealousy because their teams fell by the way side, the Cardinals, O's, Yankee's, White Sox (at least they made the playoffs).

Good Season Sox, but not good enough, at least it was entertaining Series the Rays just had the Sox' number this year. Now get healthy and come back strong next season.

V the Yankees are fast becoming the 3rd or 4th team in the AL East, time for that team to go back to '80s mode.

So I guess the Yankees have no bandwagon fans. How quickly people forget about them. Yes the Sox have a lot of bandwagon fans. The Cubs have their share of bandwagon fans. You Bulls fans I guess are all right yet you never cheered for the Major League team until they were good, but have fun cheering for the Rays now.

Also its a shame the World Series has to be played in that dump of a ballpark. Terrible sitelines and I just hate domes for baseball period, never liked the Metrodome or the Astrodome. Baseball is meant to be played outdoors.

My attitude towards the World Series is one of indifference I may watch a little bit but I want be invested in it. I hope its a good series, I predict the Rays will win it they have too much hitting that favors Citizen's Bank ballpark and their overall starting pitching is much better outside of Cole Hamels.
