CBS is pretty much saying its over. with McCain losses in ohio, iowa, and new mexico theres no way he can win.

all obama needs now is California, Oregon, and Washington and its over even if McCain wins every other state left.

oh but they still want people to go out and vote

Durham county may single handedly cost McCain the state of NC.

100,000 votes to 30,000

because no matter how much the popular votes loves one candidate, all it boils down to is like 500 odd people to really make a decision.

right to vote my ass. its a waste of time

Numerous constitutional amendments have been introduced in Congress seeking a replacement of the Electoral College with a direct popular vote; however, no proposal has ever successfully passed both houses.

I was talking about what you quoted, not you

and I don't know that many people who do agree with it

but it'd be a pain to take up all the constitutional law

and i don't care.. i see no reason why it should be any other way. our entire country is based on majority ruling yet it doesn't rule necessarily when electing a president? it doesn't make sense. the majority should rule whether it's what i want or not..that's just true democracy.

[Edited on November 4, 2008 at 10:19 PM. Reason : i mean, i understand why it was originally how it is..but not now]
