And if Florida had played anywhere close to what THEY'RE capable of, they would've won by 3 touchdowns

But here's a better idea:

If Florida and Oklahoma didn't each have THIRTY EIGHT DAYS OFF before the game, maybe we would've seen a great game last night

Rofl, "what they're capable of"? Of course we didn't see that type of play, BECAUSE THE GATORS AREN'T IN THE BIG 12. Don't you get it?

So Tebow for heisman because he has an SEC defense backing him up?

probably Tebow for Heisman because of his regular season stats

Graham Harrell had better stats last year than Bradford did this year and wasn't even in the Heisman discussion...so how come Bradford won it this year with worse stats than Harrell last year?

Seriously?

That's the last thing you should be arguing in terms of Tebow > Bradford

Harrell would have had a chance if he and his team didn't implode at the end of the season.

Tebow for Heisman because he has an SEC defense across from him during the regular season. Last night, this years Heisman averaged 6.2 per pass attempt. Last years Heisman averaged 7.7 per attempt, oh, and btw, he also ran for 5 per attempt totaling over 100 yards....virtually identical stats OUs STARTING RUNNING BACK.

It's simply no contest.

I wasn't using that as a Tebow > Bradford, I was doing that to point out how last season, Harrell had much better stats than Bradford did this season, yet Harrell wasn't even in the Heisman discussion...you can't drool over Bradford's stats when they aren't nearly as good as Harrell's stats last year

And Tebow's regular season stats are pretty damn impressive...30 TDs, against better competition than Oklahoma, and very few turnovers

But still, the Heisman generally goes to the best player or leader on the best team...apparently the voters thought Oklahoma was the more impressive team when they voted...although its also bullshit because all the people in SEC country voted for Tebow, and all the people in Big Ten country voted against him since they cherish Archie Griffin

I mean there was definately some politickin working against Tebow, but there was also the fact that Sam Bradford had one of the best seasons ever in terms of throwing the football.

Fair or not, TTU QBs will always have to battle the "system QB" stigma. Even though I think Harrell is a good pro prospect, we was never going to win the heisman.

Bradford this year: 4,700 passing yards, 50 TDs, 8 INT
Harrell last year: 5,700 passing yards, 48 TDs, 14 INT

dude threw for 5,700 yards last year! thats absurd!

i don't really have a problem with bradford winning the heisman this year, i just think tebow shouldve edged him out for the award

I just don't know what more you could ask from Bradford, he's been unbelievable ever since he took the reigns last year and I personally think he will be the #1 pick.

Even last night both of his interceptions hit the WR right in the hands. That along with bad playcalling(run run run every short yardage situation no matter how many times they stop you) cost them the game, Bradford was good.

Honestly the only thing more I could ask for Bradford would be for Oklahoma to have won last night...like I said, I don't hate the pick even though I think Tebow deserved it for leading his team to the same record in a tougher conference...Bradford is a great player, good pocket presence, quick release...I just think the fact that he could only lead his team to 14 points last night goes to show that apparently all his great offensive performances this year weren't against top caliber defenses...Texas is a pretty good team defensively, but I don't know who else they really played with a solid defense

This is exactly the point I am making that you are missing. Big 12 defenses suck. There is no doubt that Bradford is a great quarterback, but he just isn't better than Tebow, and it showed head to head last night.

a close, low scoring game (with both teams making plays on offense and defense) is much more exciting than some fireworks show with both teams scoring 40+ points

"Sam Bradford Still Paranoid Lions Might Draft Him

NORMAN, OK--Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford, who elected to return to school this year in an effort to avoid being drafted by the Detroit Lions, is still paranoid that the Lions might find a way to draft him. While he knows the fear is irrational, Bradford said he just can't seem to shake it.
“Even though I’m not even entering the draft this year, I still have this irrational fear that the Lions are going to get me,” Bradford said. “Like they’re going to find some loophole in the rules that will enable them to draft me, even though I'm still in school. I don’t know. I guess this will wear off, but right now I’m just a little skittish. Aah! What was that? What was that noise? Oh, it was just the wind. I thought it was the Lions coming for me.”
