I like it, it's a great time to get hot for a streak...with plenty of time to come back from the slump that will certainly follow :-)

Turned on Gameday Audio just at the right time

I wonder if the Cubs are looking at getting Aramis back as their "trade", or if they go for someone else

Meant to say, went to the Saturday game against the Nationals in DC, It was very nice to see Soriano get some hits (including the long ball)

0 for 5 with 3 Ks
and a HR with 4 RBIs.

Soriano is something else, haha.

Kevin Hart traded (right after his win!) to the pirates for two lefty relievers..

I'm guessing Marshall to the rotation until Lilly is healthy again

I was at the game today. The Cubs started early and hammered Houston. They had three triples I think and at one point went deep back to back. Even though it was a Thursday afternoon game, it was totally sold out, standing room only.

haha I forgot you live in CO... 50,000 plus for every game. 30,000 plus Cubs fans. Went to the Cubs series in 2006, fun as hell.

yeah, it will be 50:50 cubs:rockies fans at the least. There's a ton of Chicago explants here, and the tickets are cheap as hell.

All four games, decent seats in the upper deck, less than $80 total

what a shitty game last night. I watched all of batting practice, and my friend caught a ball that zambrano put out to center field. marshall, shark, dempster, and and gregg were just standing around in center field talking to each other.

then, bottom of the first, there's a lefty on the mound

is it typical that when a starter goes down that close to game time that you just use a platoon of middle relievers for that game????

Middle relievers are prepared physically and mentally to pitch in the game that night. Starters may have had a half-hearted stretch pregame and are not fully rested, etc etc... because they know there is a minuscule chance of them being called in. Even if they are it will usually be in extra innings.

6-0 in the second.

I don't know who's feeling worse right now, Cubs fans or Red Sox fans.

Tulo is 5-5, seven RBIs, and has hit for the cycle. He had a GS overruled and they called it a double.

Well then, I guess I hate you too. Seriously though, I get it. You're a White Sox fan in a city where you play second fiddle. (Even with your WS which I'm insanely jealous of) I would hate Cubs fan too if I was in your shoes.

part of being the more popular team is the fact that you get a lot of the douchebags, and most of them live on the north side... sorry.

The funniest part of it was seeing the 12-3 asswhooping, then they show some fan in the stands reading a Twilight book.

hahahah.

anybody else watching this Cub's game? What's the deal with all these fly overs by the military jets? It's crazy.

Oh and Cubs are stomping the Pirates 12-0 in the bottom of the 2nd.

Where were these runs in the five game losing streak

AAA Pirates are always good for a slumping team to break out

Bravo, Victorino for being a big dick about the incident...
