I admit I only skimmed the above thread.

I'm glad the State of California is looking into people at the fertility clinic...does it say anywhere
that this woman suffers from some sort of mental disorder? (OCD over children, insecurities about being alone, etc.)

As far as reproducing, I think anyone in this country on welfare longer than the time it takes to finish their high school or college degree or declaring bankruptcy should be outright penalized. This just screams of not caring about her current children's future. They're not objects you can hang on the wall or collect.

Unfortunately some people care more about 'having children' than 'parenting'. It's not cheap, and you shouldn't continue to procreate if you don't have the means.

At the very least she should put some of these children up for adoption. Think of all the infertile
couples who could give these kids a better life, emotionally and financially.

She also says she paid for the invitro fertilization with the $165,000 she recieved in disability payments from injuries from a riot at a state mental hospital where she worked. She also lives with her mother and doesn't want to be married.

It's quite disturbing. And sad that these children will probably end up in foster care because she won't be able to provide for all of them.

AND she said that she plans on going back to school while having this many children. My sister was finishing school after her first child (she was married before she got pregnant) but it was hard for her to balance providing for the child and getting her own school work done. I don't know how she thinks that she can get her degree and still provide for them.
