UConn has a cakewalk to the final 4

I think UNC's bracket is pretty tough.. would love to see them up against LSU or Gonzaga

Damn, Bob Knight throwing the hammer down on women. Said they don't belong on the selection committee.

They cut him fairly quick after that one.

KEEP GOING BOB DONT LISTEN TO THOSE PEOPLE IN YOUR EAR

the East bracket seems very lackluster

i mean, who goes?

Pitt chokes, Duke will make an exit on the first weekend, Villanova? ew

I'd like to see a Duke/FSU rematch.

Wake matches up well in their bracket if they get it back together. They need to perform against the zone, b/c Arizona will copy Maryland's gameplan. After that game they will match up against teams like Louisville that put similar size out there, but I think Wake's forwards are more skilled.

Really? More skilled than Earl Clark and Terrence Williams. Wake only has a chance if Teague gets it going again and Sosa plays like a moron (which he tends to do).

One of the most interesting 1st round matchups, (IMO). michigan hasn't been to the tournament in 10 years and clemson is always hit or miss late in the season. i'm praying Clemson shows up this time but wouldn't be surprised by any means if Clemson loses. Winner will likely face Oklahoma in what could be yet another very interesting matchup.

GO TIGERS!!!!!!!

Arizona beat several ranked teams and actually played schools that people have heard of.

St. Mary's lost by 30 in their conference tournament to the only team worth a shit.

Penn State might have a decent beef but St. Mary's doesn't have shit. Their marquee win was over Providence.

One of the most interesting 1st round matchups, (IMO). Michigan hasn't been to the tournament in 10 years and Clemson always blows ass late in the season KIDDING. I'm praying Michigan doesn't miss their shots because if they do they will lose. It's a battle of tempos. Clemson's press vs. Michigan's princeton 'use 30 seconds of the shot clock and make their threes or get the ball to DeShawn Sims down low' half court tempo. Winner will likely face Oklahoma in what could be yet another very interesting matchup.

GO BLUE!!!

Lawson out for Round 1. You have to think if he was as healthy as UNC fans are saying, he would at least try and get some minutes in to stay sharp.

This is starting to be a MAJOR concern for them. You don't just waltz through a tournament field without a healthy PG...

say what you want about state not being in the tournament, but the prospect of lawson playing injured and unc having a terribly disappointing early exit is as exciting as any guaranteed sub-sweet16 state tournament performance.

Lawson>Felton in terms of making of their respective team's importance

McCants and Jawad Williams could direct the flow of the offense for stretches without Felton

where Hansborough and Ellington don't have that Boris Diaw/Scottie Pippen mindset to dominate the ball without dominating the shots

[Edited on March 16, 2009 at 5:19 PM. Reason : but not to say McCants didn't dominate the shots]

UNC's not on top of their game I don't think, losing to FSU once and almost losing to them before

they'll prolly make a run to the elite eight, at least

"Lawson out for Round 1."

Where did you see this? Last I heard Roy said Lawson must practice a portion of Tuesday's practice and endure the entire practice on Wednesday in order to play Thursday. I think it's still up in the air at this point but I expect Lawson to play ~15 minutes against Radford just to get back into the flow of things for Saturday.

McCants maybe but Jawad? He was a PF and had nothing to do with running the offense. Melvin Scott ran point that year when Felton was on the bench.
