any herb/spice tastes better freshly ground, because of volatile compounds which are released during pulverizing.if you grind a herb/spice and let it sit, the volatile compounds evaporate away, leaving less flavour.that's a fact.whether you can taste the difference or not, depends on the person. if you grew up eating chicken fingers and burgers, probably not. if you grew up eating good homecooked food from fresh ingredients, and like to experiment in the kitchen yourself, maybe/probably.
