The other quarterbacks must be god-awful... of course, it is Syracuse.

For some reason, I find myself wanting Paulus to do well. Can't explain it.

As somewhat of a Syracuse fan (they've been pretty painful to watch for awhile now) this is all pretty to me.

well, the Senior from last year sucked and obviously the Soph this year sucks....so why not give Mr. Paulus a try?

The guy was the top QB coming out of high school. I'm sure he remembers how to throw it. He might surprise everyone. He obviously is a gifted athlete.

I think it definitely says more about the state of Syracuse football than it does about how good of an athlete Paulus is. I'm sure he remembers how to throw the ball, but there's a lot more to being a BCS conference QB than just heaving up a jump ball...the kid hasn't played organized football in 4 years, and he wasn't even close to challenging Lewis at Duke for playing time. The other Paulus brother was pretty highly regarded coming out of HS too, and he fucking sucks.

2:1 Pam Ward drops a "Paulus is swinging both ways" or "A mature Paulus is so precious with the young boys".

Greg Paulus is quite an athlete.

I'm from central ny, and a huge cuse fan. People around here are excited about this, and I really have no fucking idea why. They should be developing their qb for the coming years, what good does playing a kid who hasn't played in 4 years for 1 year do your program. what a joke...

^^^ All they have to do is kick a 40-ish yard FG.

WTF was he thinking. That was some serious coverage where he was throwing. Ironically, it would've been a good time to showcase his flopping skills.

Yeah I don't think it would've come down to a FG in OT if Paulus wasn't playing, so pretty good job.

Why are people so surprised by this? He has been playing point guard against some the quickest athletes in the country. I know basketball speed and football speed are too different things. But quickness is quickness and you can't be some slow unatheletic dude to play point guard semi successfully in the ACC.

not at all surprised infact i was one of the one championing paulus' probable success and his quickness as one of his best assets in trying to make the transition to a d1 qb
