since i've stopped tanning (i used to back when i was 18 and 19) i've gotten sooooo many compliments on how nice my skin is...and how freaking super soft it is....

so i guess its really about what you want, some people prefer s "glow" others not so much

but yeah, ill post what i originally did:

be careful! i have a girlfriend who has tanned steadily for years and while the color looks nice-she easily looks 5-6 years older than me and shes almost 2 years younger than me. she doesnt care, she'd rather be tan...this doesnt apply to everyone, some people dont really age that much when tanning

but in the long run...different people have different priorities.

yeah a friend of mine 2 years younger than me now looks about 40 years old. she still tans, so i guess she doesn't care. people sometimes ask if she's my mother, though

im pale but use tanner on my legs so you can't see all the veins

skin cancer runs in the family so in my case, i'd rather be pale than dead

do i go outside? of course, i LOVE hot weather and being outside, but i also apply and reapply sunscreen all over and make sure my eyes and lips are covered best... lips are the most underprotected area of skin

and those big sunglasses... while they may be "stupid" bc they're "trendy" they cover more of your eye and decrease fine lines!!

the other day someone thought i looked 19 and i get ID'd ALL the damn time, usually im the only one in the group. i turned 26 this month and my skin is bomb

would i like to be tanned all over all the time? sure. can i afford spray tanning? lol no. and for the record, i've never ever in my life ever been to a tanning bed. couldn't pay me to go inside one of those things

I'm sure if the price was right, you would! Money talks. But on another note, it's calming and relaxing for myself & MOST people.

10 days in puerto rico have taken me from pasty to tasty


and i used spf 30 (70 on my face) the whole time so i didnt get burned except a small spot on my back that got missed yesterday

i did a presentation on this in social cognition (had to pick a topic related to preventative health & then use social persuasion to prevent the unhealthy behavior)

apparently tanning causes a release of endorphins that can be addictive. i can believe that.

I love my skin to be sun kissed but I never get a tan. I am so glad qntmken likes my light skin and splatter of freckles. I do hope that Maya does not have my skin bc it is prone to sunburn and I have always been miserable at the beach for more than a couple of hours. I love the beach, btw. I hate there is also skin cancer in my family. Just not lucky in the melanin department.
