Do you really understand what socialism is? If so, do you understand what it is and why it has true dangerous potential? Enacting social policies is not the same, by any stretch, as making headway towards socialism. Can you see the clear and distinguishable difference?

He was pointing out if people understood the impact and cost of our capitalism to third world countries that people would not participate out of moral conscience. Furthermore, if pure capitalism were to play out its role then our standards of living would all fall down. Either from jobs removed due to outsourcing to cheaper labor abroad or from the inevitable fall of prices and profits due to increased competition. I'm not stating this to support protectionist ideology such as tariffs, subsidies or price control but rather am doing it to point out your logic there was stupid.

Some people actually go to college because they value education and learning other than means towards a high pay check. Revolutionary concept, i know. Some people prefer working in a lab to digging ditches even if the pay were equal. People in socialist countries would need college graduates too, and they would be compensated still for their hiring skill set. Why do people in china go to college, in your opinion?
