It was a fairly good episode, but it was getting a bit too preachy at the end. Why does Farnsworth have to have had a tragic romance with a robot for him to have his opinion? He's an irrational old coot. Just leave it at that.

And Bender should never have fought for marriage rights. He thrives on the illicit, and it being frowned upon by society would have just made it all the more tempting for him.
And his proposal was a huge stretch as well. Very out of character just for him to try to make a political point.

Yeah, the gay marriage episode seemed just way, way too out of character for all of the characters. Plus, it didn't seem very well put together to begin with and jumped all over the place. It almost seemed like two episodes were chopped down and squished into one time slot.

The Professor trying to shoot Hitler with a ray gun from the window as they time traveled was comic gold.

This week's and last week's episodes really felt like classic Futurama to me. They could be mixed in with the old episodes on DVD and wouldn't seem out of place. The episodes cut from the movies and even a few at the beginning of this season wouldn't fit as well.

I must agree. The last two were great. The Divinci episode wasn't half bad either. It felt a lot more like the Willy Wonka spoof episode than it did the Apple spoof episode.

Wow, those episodes were gold. I would rank the latest one, The Late Philip J Fry, with the Bee Sting episode.

Haha, iTunes store, okay.

FREE FUTURAMA:

Since they're new I think these episodes are getting hypercritical reviews, and that if this much scrutiny was given to every old episode then they'd all stack up. Of course there is wavering quality from episode to episode, especially depending on individual taste, but I think these episodes are easily the same quality as they've always had.

I assumed that since pretty much everyone with 5 brain cells has the ability to type "futurama torrent" into google, he was actually asking for legal ways to watch it.

It's just a streaming site, no torrents. Chill.

He definitely didn't say he wanted it to be legal, whether that's what he meant or not.

Pretty good episode.

I'm glad they didn't make Nibbler's talking a surprise again, considering he didn't erase their memories last time.

Although it was a bit annoying to hear Leela wish she had a man... I guess last week had enough Fry/Leela development to balance it.

fry and leela's relationship this season felt retarded but now they're not an item for some unexplained reason? amy has been a half-wit for 5 seasons and is now really smart all of a sudden? writers don't know what the fuck they're doing

the whole season has been pretty shitty but the previous 2 episodes gave me hope that it could someday return to its former glory

maybe not

Going to agree with cain here. Amy is not really dumb, she's just a smart girl that gets distracted by pretty things way too easily. It's been hinted at in episodes here/there but this is really the first episode where they basically throw it in your face that she's not a total idiot.

I thought the cat episode was alright. If nothing else, they finally developed Nibbler a bit more, though I think I would have preferred him as the mysterious ally providing occasional aid that no one was aware of.

When I saw the latest episode was based on Evolution, I cringed that it would be just as annoying as the Bender-Amy episode. The begining was just as bad as I expected. I did think that the end came together pretty well, though. It was just a painful first 5-10 minutes.

I thought the middle suffered the most. The sequence with Fry being attacked was just too long and unfunny.

And I believe in evolution as much as anybody, but the beginning still seemed a little too condescending and preachy to me.

Not a terrible episode by any means, just not my favorite. It still fits the mold of the early seasons, just as one of the mediocre episodes.

Any episode where Bender tries to prove the superiority of robots is worthwhile.

I loved the robot evolution episode. That's my favorite sort of futurama.... Heavier on the absurd, Sci-fi and light on the emotion.

I've enjoyed this season, its been really good for the most part. Looks like next week's episode is going to have a lot of Lrrr in it. There hasn't been much of him and Zap unfortunately.

eh, that one was so-so. But it wasn't bad and I'm probably biased after last week's awesomeness.

The Comicon bit was the best part, I'll have to watch it again to catch more of the jokes.

Was anybody else unfortunate enough to catch the Holiday Special?

Holy crap that was one shittastic half hour of TV. It was painful to watch.

Yes, the Holiday Special was terrible. They need to either fire their songwriter or get a better budget for music.

or they could just write a normal episode and not a musical.

Sad, but I'm not as upset this time around. I think the show's had a fair run this time around. Better to end on a good note than live on as a zombie like the Simpsons for another twenty seasons.

First two new episodes were pretty funny.

The professor's ship mods were pretty cool.

I wish Cartoon Network (Adult Swim) had a much larger budget for its programming (I'm guessing its fairly low). King of the Hill is so much funnier on Adult Swim than it ever was on Fox. And their advertising for Bob's Burgers is significantly better than I've ever seen on Fox (and makes me want to watch that show).

Futurama hasn't been on Adult Swim in a while, so I blame the slip in ratings on that.
