I definitely remember loving that LOGO turtle in Kindergarten, completely unaware it was actually some programming language.

Museum Madness

Dinopark Tycoon

Secret Island of Dr Quandary

Some old game I played on the C64 where you flew around and tried to rescue people from the ground. I think it started with P-

I was never smart enough to get Zork III to run on the C64, though not for lack of trying.

oh man i forgot about some of those!

Titanic: Adventure Out of Time

was absolutely amazing except I think I never beat it, I remember getting to a part where it had already struck the iceberg and I was running around somewhere alone

I never played simcity per se, but I used the scurk? to build the cities and play in
Sim Copter

and

Streets of Sim City

but let's not forget the greatness that was

which of course is still going strong and gorgeously so in SH III and IV

I'm glad to see some of the lesser-known games like Escape Velocity getting mentioned. Some of the ones that really grabbed me back in the day:

Escape Velocity
Willy Beamish
X-Wing
Wolfenstein 3D
Jazz Jackrabbit (and Christmas edition! haha)
King's Quest V
Sim City and Sim City 2000
Prince of Persia

Paratrooper

Under A Killing Moon

Sam and Max Hit the Road (the original)

I'm glad to see that I wasn't the only person retarded enough to buy Trespasser.

Thank god for the easy availability of internet reviews nowadays.

Lamborghini: American Challenge

Cannon Fodder

Sim Ant

Wings of Fury

Battlechess

Oddly enough, I taught myself how to play chess when I was 4 by playing this game. I LOVED the rook and queen animations.

God I've played a lot of games in my time...

^^ full throttle was excellent, i rly hope lucasarts make a special edition of that like they're doing w/ MI 1: http://www.lucasarts.com/games/monkeyisland/

also, for anyone else into monkey island, telltale released episode 1 of the tales of monkey island on tuesday: http://www.telltalegames.com/monkeyisland

it's pretty good, it definitely feels authentic, but it also feels a bit low budget... i'd give it an 8/10 and i think it's going to get much better as the series goes on

anyway... scorched earth is the best:

also... I "beat" the original simcity. That's right. I won.

I didn't see this one listed, so I thought I'd add it:

Populous

Also Mechwarrior 4 and all expansions are being released for free to celebrate 25 years of Battletech and to hype up the NEW Mechwarrior. Just hope they don't nerf the game to make it "arcade" like Mechassault. I own Mechassault and enjoyed it, but I sure as shit want a Mech sim game again, not another arcade butchering of the Mechwarrior universe.
