I dislike Phil, and while I'm sorry his wife has cancer, it won't make me root for him

If Hansbrough's mom got scurvy, would you suddenly become his number one fan ?

no, and i wouldn't root for him either

but i wouldn't complain about people "dick riding" him over it, nor would it make me root against him even more

The media has been riding Phil's dick far longer than his wife has.

The dick riding is just magnified now.

If his wife was ugly this wouldn't be an issue

Like if Federer's Porky Pig wife got sick, it would only be mentioned in passing

I dont know what part of what I said screams cancer at you but I was talking about NY fans being all on his nuts just like they were in '02 way before his wife got cancer.

you are just trolling for someone to mention phil so you could bring it up

New Yorkers ride his nuts because he's a blue collar guy just like them. Except he's worth $100,000,000, has a wife under 200 pounds, and doesn't talk like an asshole.

I have nothing against the man... he gets love in NY because NY'ers hate Tiger.

1) Tiger was #1 in 2002 and Phil was #2. Phil could overtake him with a win at Bethpage. Of course, Tiger goes wire-to-wire while getting booed by Mickelson's prick following.

2) Tiger skips FedEX playoff in NY in 2007, 40,000 pricks are pissed.

Quote :
""Screw Tiger, he doesn't like New York. You're the man Phil!" more than one fan yelled out. And that was about the nicest printable thing the galleries trailing Mickelson yelled about Tiger.

"I love the New York crowd," Mickelson said. "They always come up with some very creative little sayings.""

Yes Phil. I must admit, that is pretty fucking creative.

Haha really? You think you just simply get invited to play in the US Open? Come on now.

He attempted to qualify and didn't make it. As for the other majors, The Masters has already been, and no chance at the British Open and slight chance at PGA invite.

Probably not. The weather is going to turn for the worst again. The Thursday AM group got shit on this tourney. It's hardly even fair for those guys... but that's the breaks.

i would put my money on him being even par for the championship by the end of his second round (provided the weather stays alright). I say he shoots -3 on the front and -4 for the day putting him at even. I think that he would take that and that is prob. what he is thinking. he is just too consistent a player now and he will be in the top 10 come sunday. he just always finds a way.

but that is my prediction. he is even par for the championship by the end of his second nine.

I doubt they play more than 5 or 6 more holes today and the conditions will be degrading quickly.

My folks just texted me from the 14th hole and said its already starting to rain pretty hard...

^ i don't think so. the course, with the rain coming today, is going to still be really wet throughout the weekend. the guys will still be able to fire at all the flags. only real problem will be the mud balls if the USGA doesn't let them lift, clean, and place which they prob. won't do unless it is absolutely necessary.

^exactly. but i did hear Mike Davis say if it was ABSOLUTELY necessary in order to finish the tournament before the middle of next week then they may would have to do that.

Either way, the winner is going to be at -5 or -6 at worst I would think unless the sun comes out heavy for the next couple of days and really bakes this place out. I know they will move the tees back a little over the weekend which will keep the scores up but they won't come all the way back to -2 I don't think. There are too many guys around -3 or -2. All of them aren't going to back up.

We'll see... I suppose Weir is the only guy you really have to worry about in the Top 7 or so...

Tiger is hitting the ball really well right now, just not making the mid-range putts...

Josh Brock from UNCW made it though and shot a 21 over
