thats what my last girlfriend was. i didn't realize it until she left me for someone who probably makes more money than i do. which is funny because she comes from a family who makes $italy + $canada

im saving all this money and doing well for myself, but what's the purpose in having all this if you don't have anyone to share it with?

I'm 25, graduated with an AE degree and I now work as a process engineer making some awesome things (but, not airplanes ) . The job is boring sometimes (cube farm), but I get to do a lot with my free time. I make 65K+. My wife also works at the same company, and she makes even more than I do. Aside from the mortage, we have no debt.

And considering the facts below, the $37,000 is roughly equivalent to a $60,000 - $70,000 salary in the US:

- No taxes of any type anywhere
- Fully furnished housing fully paid for by wife's job
- Internet and basic TV channels package paid for by wife's job
"

Shouldn't that be considered part of your wife's salary, and not yours?

The no taxes have nothing to do with my wife's job.

As for the accommodation, TV, and internet, yes, they are due to my wife's job, so if I wasn't married, or she didn't get those benefits, I would have to pay rent on a 2-3 room apartment (about $5K/yr) and pay for TV/internet.

OK, let's strike those off the list.

Just taking into account no taxes and $0.60 gas, $37K is equivalent to a $50K - $60K salary in the US.

I'd like to emphasize this. We should never forget that some of us are indeed lucky, whether due to family, that one big shot you got...and nailed, through friends, or through busting your ass when no one else would.

As a side note, I live in a city where people really HATE you if you make any kind of money... saying that all that make money are a bunch of stuck of assholes
when the truth of the matter is that us stuck up assholes actually went to college. us stuck up assholes actually support the community that you complain in. us stuck up assholes work pretty goddamn hard to live in the houses that we live in, drive the cars that we drive, etc... us stuck up assholes volunteer in the community...

I used to have a big crush on NCSUWolfy. Now I think I am in love.

Wolfy, if you'd like a husband that will raise the kids, cook, clean, and provide endless sweet loving to your underside, I would be honored to be Mr Wolfy.

They are magic cookies and taste like the most amazing thing you've ever imagined. Sometimes soft, sometimes crispy, just depending on what you're craving at the moment.

They are, however, very expensive.
