A white girl won and he thought the black girl had a better video and whether he says it or not, he thinks the white girl got the award because she's white. I think I have like 4 posts in this thread calling him things much worse than an asshole, but it's based on events that actually HAPPENED! He didn't blame his actions on the death of him mother, he said it wasn't an excuse. It's right there in the interview.

The fact that Beyonce didn't win is news to me.

Her video was a cultural phenomenon. It represented her transition into ultimate divahood...she got the gays, guys. The gays! Barbra Streisand, Cher, Madonna, Tina Turner...Beyonce. It's a big deal.

I also read where Obama has chimed in on the incident. While I agree 100% with his commentary, I really think that, when asked, he should just say that it isnt his place to comment on such things.
