All the posturing Rampage did in last night's episode is even more funny now that we know he flaked out of the fight with Rashad. It's a damn shame, too, because it would have been awesome to see Evans knock his big mouth on his ass.

that last fight sucked. they threw bombs for the first minute, then spent the last 9 minutes gassed

not all heavy weights gas out. Frank Mir, Lesnar, Kongo, Cro Cop, Slyvia and others seem to have decent cardio

That was the worst fight of the season so far, in my mind. So Matt can throw some bombs, but then he didn't have the killer instinct and speed to get in there and finish it off. And then we get eight minutes of the two of them slapping at each other with zero control while praying for the bell to ring. A damn shame.

Im in it as much for the drama as anything else.

Ive been proud of Rashad almost every episode for just owning the shit out of rampage in their little faceoffs. But these last 2 shows, you can tell rashad is letting rampage get under his skin and i hate that

but damn rampage makes me laugh

I hate "Big country" so much

Dana White is being a huge bitch about him though. The guy's winning fights, but because he's not doing it in a way that gets Dana wet, he talks shit about him.

I still want to see him lose because he truly thinks people idolize him, and he is very wrong and very fat

That's because Big Country is a fucking douchebag that thinks he is owed this success. HE ABSOLUTELY DID NOT WIN THAT LAST FIGHT OUTRIGHT. WHAT A BUNCH OF BULLSHIT THAT WAS.

That is the third fight that should have gone 3 rounds and didn't.

^ I don't like how that guy thinks he's so much better than everyone else there, but at the same time so fucking fat. I don't know if he just thinks he's so damn good it doesn't matter or if he has an uncontrollable twinkie addiction, but he seriously needs to lose some weight.

Rampage's team got one fighter through Marcus Jones.

Kimbo has not come back, they are teasing that he will be offered Mittrione's spot, but I think Kimbo declines because he has a knee injury, just speculation at this point though.

The funny part is that everyone under estimates Roy Nelson. I hope he wins the whole thing, just cause it'll be hilarious to see. It's like a slap in Dana White's face. Plus, he'll have no chance in the UFC HW division, which will make this season of TUF a big flop.

bullshit, the stoppage was fine

it was no worse than marcus jones/schoonover stoppage, jones almost looked like he could have still recovered

^^have ya seen the ground game of some of these heavyweights? id think again if I were you besides nelson has always been an exciting fighter and has fought the best

^yeah, it did look to me like the ref let it go a bit long, but then i'm not the ref so whatever. I am glad jones lost though, i liked him until he went total apeshit psycho on mitrione. that dude is so unstable he should be on meds or something.

also i enjoyed seeing mcsweeney's cocky face get pounded in by a fat slob

'twas very satisfying watching mcsweeny lose

that thing nelson does where he pins an arm under his shin and then lets fly seems to be really really effective on guys who mostly rely on striking

im surprised at how effective it is - his opponents are seriously floundering when it is done correct, he could probably pound on them all day long

roy's crucifix is effective, but it's boring. he goes for the same thing every time. obviously it works, but it's not entertaining. i don't like him anyway.

Kimbo is not awesome, if he ever contend for a title in the UFC it will be based on name recognition alone. He is absorbing a lot but he is slow, and tentative. Last night's fight was boring there was nothing but circling for the first 3 minutes of his fight. He will be a good midcard fighter but he will never be a great fighter.

A lot of the fighters from this season weren't very good. Mitrione destroyed Big Baby. Big Baby has some potential but age and drive are an issue with him and his stand up is awful. He is busy on the ground though.

I hope Rashad destroys Rampage like Hendo did to Bisping.

the big country knockout was unexpected, but a great ko no matter who you like. Rare to see a one punch ko so that was great.

The Kinmo fight bored the shit outta me. He is a big striker, but to timmid to be a great UFC. His ground game has gotten 10 times better though. Dana will let him fight again b/c he draws a crowd and is a big name, but he has to show up with a fierce tenacity next time.

i meant kimbo was awesome b/c he actually had some ground game. that was crazy. he was one of very very few sane people on the show imo. i like him. he's interesting. i think that knee is going to be a big problem for him sooner rather than later.

the fight itself was boring except for a few seconds of it. houston alexander annoyed the shit out of me. i know that circling around and around and around and around and around and around was his plan but it sucked to watch. i can see why he'd want to try to lure kimbo in like that, but at the same time it seemed like he was just running bc he was scared/nervous/whatever.

I knew as soon as Kimbo took the center of the ring against Houston that he was going to win. You could just see it.

I didn't like Big Country until he beat Mcsweeney. So glad to see that douche get taken down a notch.

I really liked both finalists and would have been happy seeing either get another win. I thought that if BC won they would probably both end up with contracts whereas if Schaub won I figured BC's UFC game was probably done. When BC came out to Weird Al's "Fat" I had to start pulling for him. It was a good fight. He seemed reserved at first. I couldn't wait for him to let his hands go. I don't think we've seen the last of Schaub either. He's a good fighter and I think he'll be a good addition to the UFC.

Not really how you can pin much of the blame on that fight being boring on kimbo. Maybe the first few minute of the first round, he didn't make alot of moves forward, but he was the only one moving forward at all. I lost alot of respect for Houston Alexander when he ran around the ring like a bitch.

Roy Nelson is gonna have his way with any smaller heavyweight. Jon Jones really impressed me. He is an athletic freak for Light Heavyweight and at only 22, he will be a force in the division in the next few years IMO.

Can't wait for Sanchez/Penn next week. One of the most exciting matchups I have seen from the UFC in a while.

^i totally agree on alexander...that first round was unwatchable with him just circling around like a punk. it was especially disappointing since the fight was expected to be and exciting standup brawl...and it was far from it thanks to alexander's dancing around.

i kinda think jon jones got screwed...he was owning hammil before the illegal elbows. i don't think the result will hurt him...everyone knows he won the fight even though he officially got the loss.

i like penn to win the ufc 107 fight...i think he is just too solid for sanchez. what do you guys think?

^^yeah, jon jones got the shaft on that one i think. matt hamill's face was bleeding before the 2 illegal elbows. when did his shoulder get dislocated? i didn't see it.

Every time I have thought Sanchez was going to beat he has surprised me.
Therefore I no longer make picks against him ahead of time.
Everything tells me BJ is the better fighter, but I'm waiting until I see them going through their pre-fight routines to make a pick.

The lesson here is not to throw illegal blows. It certainly should have been a win for him, but it's his own fault that he lost; not the ref's.
