It's just amazing that Galu was up 8-4 after the merge, and have lost 7 in a row since then. I really hope Brett doesn't get immunity next week on Sunday to make it all 8 on the jury.

Russell is freakin awesome. Best survivor player since Hatch.

^correct. thrilled to see her go.

finale on sunday. natalie was a little weird during the reward challenge...but i still like her and would like to see her win. but really, i'd be fine with any of the foa foa members winning. i gotta think russell is the favorite to win going into the finale

Shambo was a really good sport about leaving. Her goodbye speech during the credits was pretty classy as far as this show goes. Can't wait to see how the rest of the jury receives her at their resort.

I laughed pretty hard when Natalie's "prayer warriors" failed. I think Brett should tap that while he has a chance, because if he doesn't win immunity again he's gone. Natalie said she has to follow her head more than her heart in order to win, and her head is with Russell.

good stuff.

I think Russell gets the boot first thing sunday. I don't remember it still having 5 going into the last show and eliminating 4 ppl. I think the producers knew their would be better ratings to make it so he was in the final show.

my two cents.

But, I hope I'm wrong... I want it to be Russell and Jaison.

I don't see Russell getting voted out. Who is gonna vote for him? Brett and maaaybe Mick? But Jaison and Natalie are in his pocket seemingly no matter what happens.

Obviously the only way Brett makes it to the finals is to win every challenge from here on out. I don't see his luck holding out that long. It's a tossup as to which one of his teammates Russell will screw over after that. I can see him thinking that putting Natalie on the jury might mean that he gets her vote if he can be delicate enough about it.

It's a final three this year with 9 on the jury. If the jurors don't hold too much of a grudge, Russell should win in a landslide. They haven't seen all the nasty things he's said about everyone to the cameras and only Laura and Monica really seemed to hate him. Hopefully everyone else can respect the game that he's played and he'll end up with the win he deserves.

BTW there are rumors that the next Season of survivor started filming almost directly after this one wrapped up. Supposedly it's at least partially made up of All-stars from previous seasons including Russell from this one. If that's true, he should have a pretty big advantage because he'll still be able to play basically the same game since none of the other contestants know anything about him.

although that poor guy will probably go down in infamy for getting voted out with two immunity idols in his pocket

So I just googled for Season 20 spoilers. Looks like the entire castlist is already well known. And if you believe the spoilers, it looks like everyone already knows the exact order that they finish in all the way down to the final 2.

So um...yeah, don't google that shit unless you want next season to be potentially ruined. But just from looking at the cast list and the supposed top 4-5, it should be very interesting.

If Brett makes it to the end then he will probably win. I think if its based on who outwits, outplays, outlasts and Russell is in the final he will win.

oh of course Brett will win if he makes it. There's no question about that. I don't even think "deserve" will come into play at that point. He's got 7/9 of the jury members as former teammates.

yes, using someone's 'prayer warrior' status during a reward challenge seems like an abuse of the title.
Oh well, maybe Brett and Natalie will get together and have a little prayer warrior army!!

man russ was visibly pissed off and looked like he was on the verge of tears. i think his problem was thinking that the voting would go like the people at home voted. we had a better idea of everyone overall, whereas the jury just voted based on emotion. of course, if he'd been even a small bit humble he probably would've won unanimously.

as for the new season, i'm sure russ and johnny fairplay will be villains, and james will be a hero. other guesses?

I agree with all of the comments regarding the finale. What a crock of shit. Normally I don't care, but I was seriously pissed off. What idiots, I mean, no logical reasoning or illogical for that matter could lead one to vote for the girl, or for Mick. Whatever.

Did they ever show the vote totals and who voted for who? All I remember seeing was that Russell had two votes, and then Natalie won with five. What were the other two, and do we know who voted for who?

So I searched around online and from what I can tell they never told us the other two votes. Also, after Russell offered $10,000 for the title of "Sole Survivor", the host, Jeff Probst upped the offer to $100,000 all on his own? Interesting.

Some guy at Entertainment Weekly wrote a really good article covering the entire final episode and reunion show. He also said they'll have post show interviews with Russell & Natalie up on Monday. You can check it out here: http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20332130,00.html

Jeff didn't up the offer to $100,000, he just joked that if Russ paid him that much money, he would call him sole survivor for the rest of his life (like he needs it though).. it was just a light-hearted joke moment.

In season's past, the jury has voted for the person that played the game the best, regardless if they liked them or not. I can think of a couple exceptions, but not many out of 19 seasons.

I knew Russ was in trouble when the jury was asking questions and stuff. It was one of the weakest final jury segments I've ever seen.
I think Erik's speech swayed people the most, especially since he went last.

Look, I wanted Russell to win as well; however, you have to admit, if you were on that jury, you would have to be pissed with Russell. How would you want to give a millionaire more money who also mastermined to kick you off. On top of that, he made a lot of people's lives miserable by burning socks and drinking their water.

There's a huge difference from the opinion of the audience and the opinion from the people who spend TONS more time alone with a person.

Also, those who say Natalie was weak are crazy. Mick was weak. Natalie won/was always right there on challenges men usually dominate.

It was also kind of sad seeing how much that loss tore Russell up. The tears showed how much that game meant to him.

I'm mad Russell didn't win, but I'm not surprised the jury didn't vote him. I'm betting he'll be on the next season though. And if he is, he'll be one of the first voted out (provided that the other contestants were able to watch this season before filming...don't really know how that works).

Filming for S20 started about 10 days after this season wrapped. It was also filmed in Samoa. It's long over by now. The other contestants weren't able to see Russell's season so I'd say he had a pretty big advantage as he can still use some of the same tricks all over again.

Worst finish ever, to what was an otherwise great season. Russell hands downs should have won. This is the only time I can remember the jury being bitter and not voting for the best player. The hidden two votes had to be Natalie otherwise they would have shown them for suspense. The jury should be ashamed of how they gave Natalie the title of Sole Survivor. And I think it was Eric's speech at the end that gave it to her. I wish they would at least bring back closing statements.

The Villains tribe should be easy to figure out. Russell, Boston Rob, maybe Johnny Fairplay, Coach, Jerri.

I would say the Heroes could be James, Rupert, Ozzy, Stephenie.

haha, i don't like johnny fairplay either but he was entertaining to watch....except for that all-stars season when he wigged out and wanted to go home first thing...
here are my guesses for villains and heroes:

villains: russell, coach, maybe johnny, richard?, sue hawk?, todd h, rob, jean-robert, johnathan penner?....

heroes: rupert, tom (fireman), bob (physics teacher), JT, Taj, colby?, parvati, ozzy, yau-man, dreamz..

obviously i need more girls in there....

russell (with tears in his eyes) corrected jeff by saying he doesn't just have 3 women in his life (twin girls and wife), but that he also has a 4th... his mom ...
HOW SWEET! My anger over the dumbass girl alliance comments has been extinguished.

I think Natalie did just well enough to deserve the title. Without her, they would NOT have voted Erik off at all, and Galu wouldn't have dropped off like they did. But it sure was entertaining to watch russell!

I enjoyed this season more than any I can remember in recent history just because of Russell. What a damn player he was. Sucks he didn't win. It shouldn't matter who needs the money or not, I think it's stupid that's even an issue (not that that had anything to do with the girl winning)...

Russell played the hell out of everyone...no one else was even interesting to me. Mic did a horrible job trying to give reasons why he should win. I think Natalie gave shitty reasons too, but I agree with the guy above that eric's speech might have swayed a few people.

Russell changed how this game will be played in future years, like that guy who made the fake idol that time.

Years from now, people will look back & not remember who won this season's survivor, but will remember Russell since he was bad ass.

I also think it's funny how you get so use to looking at these people wasting away down to skin & bones & then on the finale they all look fat as hell. ha

Another note..I hate when girls on this show try to get an attitude at the final questions part of the show...shut the fuck up bitch & stop with the attitude, I've already forgotten your name because you sucked at Survivor & never would have won.

^I agree. It's always the same girls who every tribal council they show the jury and they are rolling their eyes or smacking their lips.

i thought it was the weakest final tribal council they have had in recent years. even though the season was great, the jury had some weak speeches/questions

Dont even get me started on Brett - up until about 3 weeks ago I didnt even know his name. Whenever they'd show a glimpse of him, I'd be like "wait, who is that guy?". Definitely glad he wasnt in the final three.

I agree, I would have lost it if Brett was in the final 3. Boring as hell and no personality besides being a nice t-shirt designer. I thought Shambo's question/comment was a little strange but that's nothing new.

Here's what I want to know according to her bio Laura is 39 and she said she was portrayed as the grandmother. Bullshit, if she is 39 and a grandmother that means she got knocked up either as a teenager or early 20s and then her child made a similar bad decision. She was the biggest bitch and I was glad she didn't win nor get much face time on the reunion show.

The leaked lists for the cast I have seen all have like 23 names and nobody from this past season even though Russell pretty much hinted that he is on that show. I figure CBS will release the list a few weeks into January, because they will definitely be showing promos during the Super Bowl.

A few thoughts on the finale and reunion:

1) I think Russell ruined it for himself by interrupting Monica's question to Mick. People were already pissed off, then he just fueled the flames and they spread to those who might have otherwise voted for him.

2) It pisses me off that no one pointed out how Natalie was even more deceptive than Russell was. She was letting him make all the moves, never once stood up for Brett, who you could tell she genuinely liked, and she voted against Ashley, who was supposedly her best friend on the island. Russell was honest about being dishonest, if that makes sense. Natalie hid behind a facade. Shambo's final speech was dead on.

3) During the reunion, Black Russell said he had a near death experience and he was going towards heaven. From how he described it, it sounded like he was just high from the oxygen tank lol.

4) Can't wait for heroes vs. villains. I've only seen seasons 1, 2, and 19, so I won't know who most of the others are...but regardless I'm cheering for Russell from beginning. I'm guessing the clips of past seasons they showed during the announcement were direct hints at who would be there.

Shambo and John both voted for Russell, everyone else went Natalie. Mick didn't get a single vote.
