I agree the episode wasn't very good. They went for something different, but it didn't pay off at all.

The thing that sucks about musical part is there's a great musical number from Lois kills Stewie episode that didn't air (it's on the DVD) and they didn't even show that.

I had mixed feelings about this episode. I hadn't watched FG for a while, mainly because it became so formulaic, so it was refreshing to see the show actually ride its dialog and character development instead of irreverent pop culture references and pointless flashbacks every other scene. It had heart and felt much more real than most of the newer eps, even though it wasn't a laugh a minute. Especially when Brian was explaining his suicidal tendencies.

That being said, the eating poop part was just weird and the musicals felt tacked on and just a way to fill 30 minutes.

This could possibly be the first time I choose not to finish a family guy episode. Every single episode until now has been worth watching once, imho.

Family Guy NEEDs the side-shows. Those brief parodies and the characters in them are what makes the show funny. The pace was way off as well: too slow for a fox cartoon.

yeah I changed the channel halfway through, first time I've done that while watching family guy. maybe sometime later on I'll watch the rest of it on the internet, but its not important. Plus, after reading the previous comments, its obvious I didn't miss anything that it didn't get any better.

the vomit thing has been done many times yes but what was funny, at least to me, was watching stewie during that whole scene. i was hysterical watching the eyes and the facial expressions and his backing up ever so slightly as brian continues on.

i really feel like they are straining for ideas; it's like they are trying too hard to be funny and in turn the jokes come off stupid. i got a few laughs out of last night but they are getting fewer and fewer.

OK so they made an abortion episode that Fox refused to air. Now they're going to release it on DVD for $15

It aired in the UK, so it's available online and it's pretty damn hilarious.
