Drazen Petrovic is in better shape than this team

Jason Williams couldn't kill someone for a win

This is most definitely one of Jay's 99 problems

the nets should trade for stephen jackson and ron artest so they can just go to all the different cities and start fights. that would be more entertaining then watching one of the nets games.

man I hope new orleans turns things around once chris comes back, they were one of the primary teams I was thinking of when I said there could be another five elite teams by year's end

and utah should develop in to a contender for that matter too, they have the talent and a supposedly hall of fame coach

New Orleans is one of the least athletic teams in the league. They've got nothing.

Kobe hit at least 6 shots last night that would at least register as a 9 on a difficulty scale of 1-10. Dude has a penchant for hitting some miracle shots.

I actually watched the Thunder-Mavs game last night and lo and behold, the Thunder all wore those dumb traffic cone orange shoes.

Also, I think the Thunder still looks like they're wearing temporary uniforms and have a temporary logo. My man Dirk rocked it though.

In other news, the Wizards lost on dollar beer night in Sacramento. Dollar beer night=best idea ever, unless it makes the Wiz lose again.

alright right now I'd say there are six elite teams in the league

west: denver, lakers

east: atlanta (I think they are for real), orlando, cavs, celtics

teams I'm not quite sure about: dallas, phx, miami, utah

disapointments: portland (oden being out again), new orleans (I thought they would be a contender), spurs (hopefully they can still get their act together)

having said all that, I really think it comes down to if the celtics can stay youthful and healthy, they should focus the last quarteror third of their season to making sure garnett is in perfect form heading in to the playoffs (fuck play him every other game, 20 minutes a game if need be!)

if celtics are in top form I think they will beat la, otherwise I think the lakers will take it

man after reading this: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/091223&sportCat=nba

I'm convinced the cavs for the future of their franchise better make a big move before the trade deadline, picking up a butler/jamison would be huge, and teams will be happy to take shaq since his contract is expiring, a micheal redd or kevin martin wouldn't be bad either

they aren't winning a title with a just mo williams and a 400 pound shaq

from a wizards perspective, we cant get rid of butler. dump jamison for a couple younger guys, but butler still carries leadership qualities that will be needed while everyone waits out Gilbert's contract or injuries. he basically ran the team in gil's absence the last year or two.

^saw that earlier....WTF???

for those too lazy to click the link

Quote :
"Reports: Guns drawn in argument

NEW YORK -- Washington Wizards teammates Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton drew guns on each other during a Christmas Eve locker room argument over a gambling debt, according to The New York Post.

Last week, the Wizards and Arenas acknowledged that Arenas had stored unloaded firearms in a container in his locker, and the NBA said it was looking into the situation.

It was during that investigation that a confrontation between Arenas and Crittenton was revealed, according to a Yahoo! Sports report.

The dispute stemmed from an unspecified disagreement, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Citing an anonymous source, the Post reported in Friday's edition, however, that the standoff was sparked when Crittenton became angry at Arenas for refusing to make good on a gambling debt.

That prompted Arenas to draw on Crittenton, who then also grabbed for a gun, league security sources told the Post.

Asked by the newspaper about the confrontation, Arenas denied pulling a gun on Crittenton.

The Wizards on Friday afternoon released a statement regarding the alleged confrontation: "The Washington Wizards take this situation and the ongoing investigation very seriously. We are continuing to cooperate fully with the proper authorities and the NBA and will have no further comment at this time."

"This is unprecedented in the history of sports," Billy Hunter, executive director of the NBA players' association, told the Post. "I've never heard of players pulling guns on each other in a locker room."

On Dec. 24, the Wizards had issued a statement addressing Arenas' storage of unloaded firearms in a container in his locker at the arena and that the NBA was looking into the situation.

On Tuesday, Washington, D.C. police said they were investigating a report that weapons were found inside a locker room at the Verizon Center.

Now, the federal government is also involved. Ben Friedman, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Washington, D.C., told the Post "we're working with the Metropolitan Police Department on the investigation.""

NBATV-HD is money, but the best part of NBA TV is still non-HD...the classic games. Saw a Virginia Squires-San Antonio Spurs game on NBA-TV once. I wish someone would move a team to Va...like the Clippers.

It's ok guys, it only took the Mavs like 10 years to finally get a good team.

Orlando is going to be a force in the East for a long time

Now that the Big Ticket's knees are shot there really is not another center in the East that has a chance of hanging with Howard.

No, Kendrick Perkins does not count. I'm talking perennial All Star quality big man to really give Howard trouble in the playoffs.

Can we get a trade please? Like Bosh to MIA or Jamison to CLE?

I need some good trades to go down to make this season more interesting.

Or the Bobcats can make the playoffs and that would make things interesting...

yeah SOMEONE MAKE A TRADE, cleveland better be making every damn effort they can to add one more piece and not let lebron's incredible play go to waste, trade shaq if need be

i also think portland should consider trading away oden right now if they can get a borderline all star player and become contenders, if oden gets one more serious injury next yr his value will tank

cuban is probably doing everything he can and I think dallas could be one great move from being contenders again

don't really know what utah should do, or new orleans now that paul is injured anyway, maybe miami should make a move
