Looks like all the social conservative groups boycotting it because they allowed a gay conservative group to participate may have played a role in their ever-so-important straw poll. But its a one time thing, they aren't allowing gays to come next year.

The top vote getters:

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney: 23 percent
Former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson: 6 percent
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie: 6 percent
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich: 5 percent"

Wait what? Do all of these pubs think that if they are in the same room as a gay person they may "catch the gay" and
turn gay themselves? I mean I know Ted Haggard threw them for a loop but being homophobic is so ghey

In all seriousness this just shows how close minded the conservative movement is...sad

That's funny. I heard that the Democrat Party won't be allowing any Christians into their Convention next year, either.

Or non-union members.

Actually, the Dems picked a non-union right-to-work state like North Carolina for their next big convention for 2012. And one of the big headliners is going to be that Christian guy... what's his name... the current POTUS... his name is slipping me, but you know who I'm talking about right?

So I've been here all week, and after the straw poll results, I went and smoked with a writer for high times with a bunch of people.

It's odd because I just got interviewed in a bathroom in a hotel with someone from high times.

Harmonicas.

1) Have you not heard of the criticism that the unions have with the choice of Charlotte? Or, did you read the contract that the DNCC has with the city of Charlotte regarding union workers?

2) You are joking about the whole "Christian guy" thing, right?

it's scary to me that people will actually believe stuff like this without questioning how crazy it sounds.
