^I don't know, but I was told the winner is asked to go up a division, but can request to stay in the division they won for 1 more year. If this is true then that team is gone. Andy also said there are 3 new teams in the league.

^We lost 8-1 while playing our first game after not meeting half the team until today and while playing a guy in goal who had never been a GK before. I'm a pretty solid center back for not having playing since the fall of 1997.

LOL at Shepards House of War! They like to BS when they are on the field. Our back line wasn't always on the same page. Three of us had stepped ahead of their forward while the other guy and LB was standing 5 yards back and keeping him onsides. I yelled, "STEP TO GET HIM OFFSIDES!" and the guy SHW said, "I am offsides." Then he started laughing when I said, "No you're not."

SHW has a damn good CM, which is definitely one of our weak areas. He was good on the ball and with distribution. We played much better in the second half (3-1) as opposed to the first (5-0).

^It takes a little time getting used to playing with each other and that was the best team in the league. The Mexican team Fullvaso is also just as good. I felt our back line did ok at stepping. That one fast break goal they got was close to offsides. Stupid linesman! I was shocked at the GK's. They did pretty good for the situation.

I performed a slide tackle on a gentleman from about the 8 o'clock position. It was a 50/50 ball, he got there first and then met my feet. The ref gave me a yellow card.

It wasn't the worst thing that happened today.

One goal was almost disallowed because I was offsides. A guy on our team took a free kick at the edge of the box. It went straight into the wall and rebounded back to him. He chipped it up again and in the chaos I didn't see that their defense had moved forward a few feet. The ball went straight towards me but I let it roll into the goal. Offsides was called on me, but the ref allowed the goal. I also heard that apparently people on the team were lamenting my "massive screw up," saying it was something I "needed to work on." I'm not sure what they meant by that.

Oh, and on one of our corner kicks I accidentally handballed it.

Honestly we didn't do that bad, considering that the team we were playing against was a LOT better than we were. We couldn't get the ball out of our half the entire game.

btw, the ref didn't card me, but he gave me a warning when SHW was on a fast break and I yelled, "YOU'RE GONNA MISS!" He did shoot it straight at the keeper and it was saved, but that had nothing to do with the taunt.

^I don't know, but I think it is all down hill from here since we have now played together for one game and have some weaker teams coming up (they're still good). Andy said Fullvaso is a really good Mexican side. That might be our next ass beating. The rest I hope will be more equal. That makes it fun for everyone.

btw, you did pretty good today back there on defense with me.

This may or may not help you for outdoor, but I played against an indoor team at XL Soccer World this past season that went by the name of Sasquatch. They were not good at all. I'm assuming it is the same team.

In past seasons, weeks and weeks would pass without the scores being updated. It was really frustrating. This season (so far, at least) Andy has been really good about it--they've been updated the next day or two after gamedays. I'm hoping TASL keeps it up.
