I didn't say they were the problem, I'm saying that major gaming companies now see how much money there is to be had in the casual market. If more companies attempt to enter the casual market, there will be even more research/time spent by all of them to gain the majority of that group.

As is very obvious by the direction by both Sony and MS at this point.

Throw the "hardcore" gamers a few games to keep them quiet, and come out with new gimmicks/mini-game compilations to try and interest the housewife that sits and home and plays Zuma Deluxe for 3 hours a day

i thought i was the only one who didn't give a shit about all these stupid motion & voice controls. Personally when i game i just want to sit on my ass with a controller in hand and control the game. I don't want to be up and about and simulating a sport or dance, i'd rather just do it irl. Maybe its just because i'm old school and grew up with console gaming.

Also, voice control = unreliable. The last thing I want to do is give a command, there be a processing error, my attack or whatever doesn't go through and i get killed (or something or other).
