when dude was sitting in the other room in handcuffs, i thought to myself, damn that looks like peter fucking weller over there, i was glad to see him show up again to confirm it was him and that he'll be in at least a few episodes, also the taxi driver at the very end i'm bout 90% sure played Kenny Power's half brother last week on eastbound and down

I'm calling Lumen getting locked up for a murder but keeps mum about dexter out of gratitude, and the sleezy robocop guy gets killed. I like lumen but there's no way she'll continue into the next season, which is too bad.

And I think Deb will take up where Quinn left off and find out about Dexter, especially now that Deb admitted she didn't mind killing that guy... and that will lead into next season where Deb helps cover up and possibly find worthy victims for him.

i like Lumen too, or at least what her character provides to the show. it's someone dexter can be pretty much completely open and honest with. she didn't even flinch when he said he killed his neighbors dog when he was 12. It's a little unbelievable that she just goes along with everything without batting an eye almost, but she's the first person aside from his dad that he's been entirely open with.. or close to. Which is a new dynamic for the show.

I definitely think Deb will become suspicious within the season. There's what she heard from Quinn, knowing Lumen and Dexter are connected, knowing that Dexter has been spending time with Jordan Chase, and there's a chance something will go down where Deb will connect Lumen and or Jordan Chase to the "barrel girls" murderers (some of which are missing), and there's Liddy as the wild card. There are a lot of ways for her to become suspicious

Awesome episode. I honestly have no idea what will happen in the remaining 3 shows this season. I also wonder if there is someone else associated with the barrel killings. There was obviously Boyd, the dentist, Chase, and his body guard. But I could have sworn they said there were 5 partial DNA profiles, and if I remember right, there were 4 people in the photo Dexter found.

And if my daughter looks like Astor did at 12 she will never leave the house. Ever.

Also, I was very curious how Chase made the connection between Dexter and Lumen simply from the fact that Dexter stole some of his blood. If I were Chase, I would have probably assumed Dexter was undercover and investigating me for the barrel murders (ie I would be paranoid as hell). But for some reason he is going on the offensive, and figures out that Lumen is living with Dexter even though he doesn't know that Lumen is even alive.

Maybe I am missing something though.

well, he probably knew Lumen was alive because the guy in the warehouse or whatever called one of them and told them. The bodyguard went missing after Dexter started coming around. Then the thing with the blood happened which made him suspicious of Dexter.

And he may not have expected Lumen to pick up Dexter's phone. But once she did, it's reasonable to think he recognized her voice, especially knowing that she was alive and had gone after one of them already.

so yeah, "lumen" is representing light in dexters life.

^^ I was thinking one of them could be his DNA as well. He had been out there before that too and I seem to recall thinking how stupid he was for not having gloves on when he opened one of the barrels. But Lumen definitely stabbed him right next to one of the barrels.


"Lumen" has certainly lit up Dexter's "Dark" Passenger. She's the only person, aside from his dad, who actually knows him for everything he is.
