There's a good chance Clausen will make some bad mistakes this Sunday. As a rookie getting his first start, I expect to cringe a lot.

Still, I hope people don't boo mercilessly after his first (and seemingly inevitable) bad play. With his skill set and intangibles, he's a QB that could potentially be elite. It's been a lonnnnng time since I felt that way about a Panthers QB.

I mean, I've never felt good about the Panthers QB situation, but I had hope during Beuerlein's Pro Bowl year. He threw for nearly 4500 yards that year.

But yeah, that's really it. They did have Jim Harbaugh a few years ago, which was kind of neat
