just bought this game last night and i can't believe how ridiculously hard it is to shoot in this game. I'm only on pro difficulty and its great if i can shoot above 40%. 3 pts are very few and far between but thats for both teams. i've played 5 games and chase budinger is like 0-25 from 3. monta ellis has only hit 2.

Put it on Real Player % for both field goals and free throws. You just tap the button and the player shoots based on how accurate his stats are. Takes away a lot of the bullshit like when Durant misses 5 shots in a row.

i would suggest going to the shootaround option. Also, have you played any of the previous versions of this series?? Another suggestion would be to do the Jordan challenges..they make it very easy to shoot with him, for obvious reasons, and it helped me get the rhythm/timing down...

yeah Jordan's ratings are pretty high so it should be relatively easy to get the timing down for his jumpshots

I still play on Pro difficulty, and I never win My Player games by more than 10-15 points

For what its worth, I found the PS3 controls are much more difficult than xbox's. Played both and first thing I noticed was less reactive shooting controls. I have to assume there is a timing you can master though...

I was drafted by Jazz, dropped down to and then came out of DLeague, no playoffs rookie year. Signed with Bulls following year and won the championship alongside Derrick Rose. As soon as my overall player level hit 72 or so I started dominating....hang in there.

turns out i was banned in October for some reason, they said because I had a modded My Player which I think is bullshit...I think when I got banned from Madden Ultimate Team and tried to delete and retrieve my gamertag, I ended up fucking up some files and corrupting them and I think thats what the problem is...I'm just glad 2K is a good enough game where I can enjoy it without having to play online

just finished a game against the wizards in my "myplayer". We're tied at 73 with a few seconds left, i get an offensive rebound, go to put it back up and get stripped. Andray Blatche gets the loose ball, chucks it down court from literally the baseline...........nothing but net. Lose 76-73.

I'm getting pissed at all the deflections in this game. I know its spose to help you become a better passer, but it seems like every pass gets batted unless its 100 percent perfect every time. Has definitely led to me yelling expletives whenever Kirk Hinrich intercepts Russell Westbrook for the 6th time.

Also some of the pre-canned animations for post moves suck. If I'm Gasol or Amare, sometimes hitting shot makes you do a complex hop step and ends up with you shooting from behind the goal.

I'm playing in a tournament starting on Monday. Haven't played the game in 3 months because of my thesis work. I play with OKC and have never lost. I have trouble shooting jumpshots as well. The games I hit from the outside are the games I blow anybody away. Most of my games are close because I'm going ofer from 3. Each player has their own unique shooting release and it takes a while to remember them all at moments notice. Pay attention to the ft release point of your players as their 3pt release is not very different. Thats how I got Durant's down. I would tell you guys about the tournament but I want the 500 bucks.

It won't. They're separate entities entirely. However, 2K was smart this year to put Jordan, Bird, and Magic on the covers to avoid having a locked out cover boy that could potentially hurt sales.

No differnece, and you can use a 360 controller and feels identical to the console, excpet the graphics probably are gonna be smoother as one should expect. I did this with 2k11 and it was all good. I might pick this one up on PC as well.
