I just got back from the WPC. They've already sold out our allotment of ACCCG tickets. Pretty sure the Atlantic Division will be on the Panthers home side.

Any current students in the Student Wolfpack Club can go to the WPC before 5pm tomorrow (the 23rd) and fill out an application. Tickets are $35 a piece. Seats are "lower level endzone". No guest tickets.

Regular student deadline online is November 27th (this Saturday), 11:59pm.

i was under the impression that if the sugar loses auburn to the NC, they get first pick for a replacement (lsu). couple that with the fact that they have first pick anyways after conference tie-ins tells me that they would take tosu. is this wrong?

oh, and not anywhere in that statement did i say that stanford would be selected ahead of tosu, the exact opposite actually

Hey guys talking about sections. The atlantic side is the side behind where the NFL team visitors normally are. I normally sit in 525 for panther games and thats the corner. I just sat club 322 this last game, also behind the visitors. GO PACK!

Yeah there will be a shit load of tickets floating around craigslist even if they sold out and , and half of the folks will be selling them at face value so im not too worried ..'if' we make it to Charlotte, but I def. want to go see us since its been like 31 years since our last one!!

yup, there are a lot of people that had tickets lined up then their team wont make it etc.

I have been to the SEC CG numerous times and never paid more than face value, and sometimes under, and this wont be anywhere near that

I am making the trip up

Re: Scenarios--
NCSU beats UMD and VT -> Orange bowl, and NCSU beats UMD and loses to VT -> Chic-fil-A Bowl are both correct.

However, if we lose to Maryland, I don't think we're necessarily stuck with the Sun Bowl and I doubt unless we lose badly that we'll fall to the Car Care Bowl. If you look at how well the ACC travels, we're probably 2nd best in the league behind Clemson. UMD is not known for traveling well (though they're better than some). Miami travels well for the size of the school, but they have a smaller alumni base than the big public schools. Depending on how the championship game were to go, if FSU lost badly, Chic-fil-A could pass on them to take us or Miami. Probably us as we're closest geographically and would be sure to fill the stands. Champs would then grab FSU or Miami. If Chic-fil-A takes FSU, then it's pretty much a slam dunk for Champs to take Miami, but I'm also pretty sure that the Sun Bowl would pass on UMD to take us as we're more attractive than them despite the h2h loss (again, excepting a lopsided loss). Car Care would actually be a better bowl experience, but Sun is higher ranked and likely against a better opponent.

Well my scenarios made sense to me, but all of the "expert" (ie sportswriters) picks seem to disagree. Early consensus there seems to be that we have no way to get into the Chic-fil-A bowl, as they will take FSU regardless of whether or not we beat Maryland, as FSU vs. SEC would be garner more national interest. I think it would put less butts in the seats, and that has to be a huge factor for the bowl too, but what do I know? And while I would think that the Champs Sports bowl would take Miami due to local interest, all the picks I've seen put us there instead. Maybe that's where the "travels well" part helps us. Though I think know that personally I'd rather see us face a Pac-10 team than Big East, Orlando owns the hell out of El Paso. Even considering the shittastic stadium. These things seem to assume us beating UMD, so if we don't, maybe then Sun Bowl becomes more likely, but I still don't think we fall to the Car Care.

So the more I think about it, the more I think we have no shot at the Chick Fila bowl or the Champs Sports bowl since Fla St is a lock for Chick Fila and Miami is a lock for Champs Sports. They are both bigger names and are closer to the respective bowl sites than we are.

So -- we'd better beat Maryland so we at least get the Sun Bowl (they have to take the CG loser if the other two don't). Otherwise we could drop down to any of them.

The bowl in Nashville is a better destination than the Sun or any of our Florida options, (not counting Orange). If we can't get the Peach or Orange, that's where I hope we land.

IIRC, a bowl can only pass on the remaining team with the highest record if the next team is only behind by 1 game in the standings. I don't know if that means the conference standings or the overall record. If Miami loses this weekend and we win, and then lose the ACCCG, then we would be ahead by 1.5 games in overall record. So if the selectionr ules are inf act by overall record, then Champs can't pass us in favor of Miami.

^^^ It's conference record, so a 5-3 Miami could, and probably will get picked over a 6-3* NC State. Definitely over a 5-3 NC State.

Anyone in WPC already receive a word or anything that your ACCCG tickets will be filled (assuming we make it to the game)? I haven't heard anything yet.

I got an email and voicemail from WPC saying everybody who submitted requests before the cut-off will receive their full allotment of tickets requested but due to demand you could be bumped to lower pay tier based on your ranking.

it looks like the only tickets available for the ACCCG on ticketmaster are individual. stubhub has some that are in the $60's which are reasonable i guess.
