Purely from a football standpoint, i am not disrespecting MD but they have beat 7 mediocre-to-bad teams and lost to 4 decent-to-good teams. They have truly benefited from their schedule so far.

I also think we're playing a lot differently now and MD is not the caliber of opponent that VT and Clemson are. On paper we should win this game easily, almost Wake Forest like. I also don't think the team will overlook them at all like they did ECU.

I thought this too until I watched them play FSU on Saturday. FSU got the win but UMD looked like the better team to me all night (also the flagrant foul that brought back the pick-6 was bullshit)

We must have been watching different games. Maryland's play seemed to range the gamut between "good" and "slapstick comedy." FSU ranged from "below-average" to "above-average."

Did it look to anyone else that Reddick gave a little intentional kick to Spencer's head as he was getting up, causing Williams to come over and shove Reddick, with a punch in reciprocation? If Williams hadn't of been restrained he was loading for a counter punch. After watching the video several times I really feel like Reddick should have been ejected, and there WAS a striking foul (he punched) so he should be suspended for the first half of the Duke game. Williams I can see a personal foul for getting in his face, but I didn't see anything warranting ejection.

As State fans must we hate everyone named Reddick?

Ridiculous statement. Yes Maryland has basically stayed in the ACC race thanks to almost the easiest possible ACC schedule (No VT, no GT, no UNC. Sub Miami for UNC and their schedule would be a true joke), but this team destroyed Wake Forest. This will be a close game as Maryland loves to crap on NC State's parade and fat boy Ralph will do everything in his power to get to 8 regular season wins.

I watched most of the UMD/FSU game, and UMD had flashes of excellence, but it looked like a deflating loss to me:

1) Knocked out of the ACCCG race.

2) Bullshit INT call late in the game against UMD. UMD's defense steps up to force a 3 and out, and then a low FSU punt hits off the ass of a UMD blocker-FSU recovers in the red zone and gets points.

3) UMD has a late drive with a chance to tie or win (I can't remember the score at that point), but I'm pretty sure their QB threw a pick to kill the whole thing.

I'm sure the atmosphere there was similar to our game against FSU, but probably with even more hype given that the ACCCG is so close. I would've been really fucking dejected if we'd lost to them on our last drive, so I'm sure they're feeling that.

I'm thinking the atmosphere of their stadium won't be anything close to the FSU game, and their players will come out fired up, but will be prone to be stomped on if we can keep our boot on their throats.
