any other examples of a coach that used to be someone else's assistant bringing their former head coach in to be their assistant?

so far it's the morning show Orlando Early, and maybe Harrick?

isn't there usually 3 assistant coaches? (i.e. can't Gaudio still be added too)

speculation is that harrick would be in a purely advisory, X/O, film breakdown, non-recruting role. much like the aforementioned gene keady. IE not one of the 3 traditional assistants.

dubcaps, that's what I've heard/read as well. Harrick, I do not think, would count toward those 3 asst coaches. He'd be a "consultant" I think.

Gaudio and Rob Moxley (don't know who he is) were names I've seen on twitter (I know...not the most reliable source for info, but they did get Early right)

Harrick is fine with me as long as sits on the bench and plays tic-tac-toe with a half court diagram.

I don't know shit about Moxley. Someone fill me in? Is he an addition we should get excited about?

Needs more Dino. He's has incredible recruiting ties to the area, and is known for his defensive coaching. God knows we need defensive coaching for these guys.

Who else have we officially hired (other than Early?)

what about Dino Gaudio? He could be a good add to the roster. He's a pretty solid recruiter too. Could work well

I wonder how relevant this Orlando Early cat is to Gottfried's success from 2001-2005 versus the way he kind of fell off toward the end of his run at Bama

Orlando Early was an assistant under Lutz at Charlotte. I'm assuming that Lutz was the coach when we met them in the NCAA a couple of years back. He did really good things at Charlotte, and would definitely be a great addition to the staff.

I still want to squeeze Moxley and Gaudio in there
