i dont want to get too negative after one bad game but that was really ugly.

Let's just say I hope he improves a lot.

5 yards per pass against a 1-AA team is a disaster.

The oline play was pathetic and the WR's dont look like much.

I left at halftime just so one awful game wouldnt poison my analysis of our team for the rest of the season, doesn't look like things got any better after i left.

Glennon looked fine. If we had all of our starting WRs back Glennon's numbers would have been much more impressive. I only remember him making about 3 bad throws the whole game which is no different than what Wilson would have done. Growing pains...

Several of the incompletes were due to mistiming or the fault of the receivers. Bryan didn't turn his head in time to catch an easy TD in the North Endzone.

This is true. Bryan is basically my favorite player on the team, and he really dropped the ball (figuratively) on that play. I see him with pro potential so he really needs to step up his game and make those easy catches. That won't do him any favors for the scouts. Let's just hope it was more him shaking off the cobwebs during the first game than actually making a bad play.

It also would have helped to have more than 1.5 seconds to get set before the pocket collapsed. Towards the end of the first half I was starting to think he'd been pissing off his o-line and they were just letting him get knocked around.

No...we really do. Difference between State fans and Bama/Auburn (insert any really good SEC school here) fans is that their teams are really good. That ALWAYS heightens the level of fanatics. While we aren't quite on that level, we still act like fans of schools that have really good teams...which we don't and RARELY have had.

I'd actually be scared if our teams started performing really well. I'd like to think that after decades of suckage, that our fans would be so fucking happy that we would be the most pleasant fans ever. However, I'm pretty sure it would go to our heads and we would get on, and possibly surpass, the Bama/Auburn level.
