The Chargers are cursed against the Pats recently. They had plenty of chances this time but 3 turnovers killed them. Last year they outplayed the hell out of them but turned it over like 5 times. Time before that Rivers was playing on a torn ACL and they played well enough to win but couldn't punch it in for TDs and settled for 4 short FGs.

Hate to say it...but Rivers lost that game. He played well, but take away those two picks (which were all on him), and Chargers have a great chance at winning. Despite a few lapses, Chargers defense did their job. Matthews is playing well also.

Yeah Rivers made some mistakes yesterday. Sucks that the Chargers never seem to put it all together in big games. Some part of the team has to make some huge mistakes and cost them a win. Yesterday it was Philip, last year it was the special teams, before it's been the defense or Kaeding, etc.

I thought the Defense looked asleep in the secondary. There were way to many completions were it looked like the receiver and Tom Brady were playing catch in the backyard.

One pass, Brady litearally lobbed it to Welker after almost being sacked. Wes was completely isolated adjacent to the sideline to make the catch.

Second pick was all on him, he was trying to force it to Gates and Gates hadn't gotten open once all day.

First pick was just a great play by Wilfork that nobody would ever expect to happen. Rivers said he would still take that throw every time.

Tolbert played worse than anyone else on the team IMO and probably gets a good deal of the blame. Can't punch it in on 4th and 1 and an unforced fumble when he's trying to be Barry Sanders instead of Jerome Bettis.
