I guess loosing to Georgia State pissed them off, so they came out on a mission against BC. Hope they can use it and build on it.

Lost 1-0 in the first minute of OT off a corner kick at Campbell. We had a player sent off with a straight red card with about 20 minutes left. It was hard to see the actual foul because of all the players in the way, but apparently he tackled the guy after the ball was released and it was right in front of the Campbell bench, so they were yelling for a red.

Also had a Campbell student in a highway worker safety vest chant Russell Wilson, tell us that UNC's rival is Duke, and that we needed to be better in a sport other than bass fishing all through a construction cone.

Women lost 1-0 in the last minute of the 1st OT. There was some major confusion and it took some time before the head ref signaled goal. Our coach was talking to the linesman and then the ref came over and said something and then signaled the goal and end of the game.

Men are home tonight vs Virginia Tech.

Is it just me, or is the atmosphere at the soccer games alot better this year?

Last year's UNC would be pretty tough to beat. The place was absolutely full, and people were forced to watch from the two top floors of the parking deck. Student section was good, even though too many people still don't really grasp soccer somehow.

Number wise the atmosphere is better, but that's about it. Most of the students bad mouth soccer and just to give the opponent hell and not in the good way. Someone took the VT keeper's water bottle during the first OT.

yea, I was really hoping Charlotte would win it this year . I was a big fan of their soccer team growing up since I lived like 15 mins from the campus and my dad and I went to almost every one of their home games for years. Would have been doubly nice to beat UNC-CH in the process of winning it all but oh well.

sad part is UNC's goal was completely against the run of play and Charlotte pretty much dominated. They should have also had a penalty early in the second half
