He did that on purpose actually, and it ended up being the reason why they won the game. If you recall the post-game interviews, it went something like this:

Interviewer: "Coach Davis, did you realize that spiking the ball with too many people on the field would stop the clock? In the NFL, there is a clock runoff penalty that would result in the end of the game."

Coach Davis: "Yes, and this isn't the NFL."

EDIT: My point being, Butch Davis is a cheater through-and-through. And now the NCAA has instituted a clock runoff penalty. Why? Because UNC beat UT on a technicality.

Agreed! Also, can't forget about Levar Fisher. The combo of Thunder Dan and Levar was lethal. Sucks Terrell Manning isn't as explosive as Nate was, in my opinion.

I don't know why some of you guys keep pissing on our receivers. The only one who dropped a pass that hit him in the hands was George Bryan. Everyone caught balls including Graham. Everything else was broken up or never got to the receiver. Smith made that nice diving catch down the middle.

We all knew they were question marks in the preseason but come'on, they played pretty well last saturday.

Sorry guys but the moose will not save this running game. We could have Adrian Peterson and it wouldn't help. Bible only knows shot gun 4 and 5 wide passing and then draw plays. The guy has no idea how to run a legit pro style offense. TERRIBLE PLAY CALLING as usual.

just watched the Wake/Syracuse game.

Wake looks like Liberty in Gold unis. Almost identical offense, lots of 3 step drops etc, but Price throws a lot of dangerous balls. What killed Syracuse early on was really poor tackling. Wake's run game didn't look all that impressive either.

The good news though is that it looks like Wake really hasn't upgraded their D all that much over last year. Syracuse, once they settled down, tore them up in the 4th qtr, it looked like a conditioning issue to me.
