Everything went very well. Her father and I discussed the dinner bill earlier on while golfing. I told him that since they were guests of ours for the day that we [I] would pay for golf and dinner. He tried to put up a fight. I gave the obligatory "I insist". He agreed and thanked me and said this was the last time. Then he asked if we wanted to come up to their place on Long Island for Thanksgiving weekend.

Something else odd came up in conversation while on the golf course. He jokingly made a comment along the lines of "What's the big idea of seeing my daughter for so long without wanting to date her?" I was pretty taking back and a little confused. Apparently, she had alluded to her parents that we had been casually dating ever since our cruise. Without calling his daughter out, I just reassured him that I love his daughter and that she is very important to me. I asked her about it later that night when we were alone. She said that we were basically dating the whole time, just without the intimacy and it was just easier to explain it that way to them at the time. Now that we were formally dating, she could finally introduce me as her boyfriend without feeling weird about it.

All in all, it was a success. I nailed this weekend like a boss.

You guys worry about this too much. First time my parents met the bf while camping, they were like "how do you put up with her?" and Dad got him a beer and started talking Steelers vs. Packers.
