Yeah I'd have to say I wasn't a huge fan of it either. Chris Evans is just not Captain America, sorry. He is the perfect Johnny Storm but not Captain America.

Glad someone agrees with me on Captain America. I almost fell asleep during that movie. Really disappointing movie.

^ Agree. When I saw the first sketches of it, I thought it would be cool, but it just looks out of place. Not really sure how they could pull off Cap without some sort of costume, but they seemed to do so with Hawkeye...

I may have missed something or I no longer remember. I assume they explain how Thor is able to get back to earth... or is this a Thor reboot?

Only the most recent hulk counts. Ang lee's incredible sulk isn't in the same setting.

I've been waiting to see Leader ever since the last Hulk movie came out.

I'm assuming that each character's love interest and sidekick (if they haven't died yet) will show up, but the only one I recognized in the trailer was Pepper. You can't have a controlled Hulk without Betty.

thor definitely, capt america....meh

plus the main villain from thor appears to be the main villain in the avengers, so you'll probably want the backstory there

Thor was a great movie, but was brought significantly downward by the suck-ass acting done by the 2 girls and dude from earth. Chris Hemsworth and Anthony Hopkins were pretty badass in it.

I believe the cosmic cube/tesseract/whatever from Cap plays a significant part too

Maybe so... but having watched Cap. Amer. at least gave you a clue as to what the cube was in that case that Nick Fury showed the guy after the credits roll in Thor.

I had very high expectations for this movie, and it completely delivered. It was hysterical in parts and the hulk may be my favorite super hero of all time.

lol @ Iron Man calling Hawkeye "Legolas" and the scene after the credits when they were eating the shawarma.

One thing I disliked: anytime anything cool happened the people in the auditorium would start cheering and clapping and I missed a few one liners.

Fun movie though. I would have liked more explanation on how Thor got back to Earth... I haven't seen his movie in a year but I thought at the end Odin said something along the lines of him never being able to return.

^loki said he'd never be able to return

loki said in this movie that odin had to use "dark energy" to send thor to earth.

and SPOILER

completely missed the line after the Hulk brained Loki about "god" no clue what he said. Funniest part : Hulk punching thor after the leviathan fight.

Really enjoyed it. Much funnier overall than I imagined. And I was legitimately surprised. Went in assuming Iron Man would be my favorite part of the whole movie, but Hulk kinda stole the show for the last quarter of the movie.

Ok ill put ***SPOILERS*** here; but if you've not seen the movie, you shouldn't be reading the thread.

One issue I had was that Loki was wanting to have Hulk unleashed on the group.

But then, without addressing it, at the end Banor was able to control the Hulk all of a sudden. Did I miss something or did they gloss over that?

Also; was it ever explained beyond 'magical staff' how Loki was influencing the hulk on the ship? That whole scene was weird.

By FAR the best scene was hulk pounding Loki. The thor punch was funny too but i was gufawing at the loki scene. They got a great actor to play Loki.

I also wanted to mention, as much as I disliked Captain America, Chris Evans fits very well as Captain and I enjoyed the character in this movie.

They pseudo-explained it when Hulk fell out of the ship and hit the abandoned warehouse. I read it as Banner coming to realize that he does exert some amount of influence over "the other guy" when the janitor tells him that Hulk consciously avoided harming anyone when he crash landed. So from this he seems to decide that Hulk can be cut a little slack and that maybe Tony was right.

It's incredibly vague, but they can't spend 20 minutes on it in a film with 6 lead characters.

I don't think he had any control over him...The plan was just to get Banner on the ship to have him turn into Hulk...He knew he would just run wild once that happened.

Greatest. Comic book. Movie. EVER.

Will go see at least 3-4 more times. I was absolutely giddy with the reveal after the first part of the credits.

This was my interpretation, based upon the final scene of The Incredible Hulk (2008) which showed Banner meditating, then willingly turning into the Hulk. I think that he CAN turn into the Hulk willingly, and when he does he is able to control (or at least influence) him. He is still vulnerable when provoked though, and when he gets angry he loses control and doesn't have any influence over the Hulk's actions.

Also, kinda disappointed that at no point Bruce Banner said "Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry."

That's exactly what it is.

**SPOILERS**

Remember when he said "I'm always angry"? Well, just add that bit of info with the final scene in The Inc. Hulk and you can assume that he can go in and out of Hulk-mode anytime he wants. But like Wraith said, when he gets mad he actually loses control. When he landed on the building without killing anyone he realized even when he loses control that Bruce Banner is still in there somewhere.

Well in the comics Banner had and subsequently lost control over Hulk all the time, especially in the earlier comics. There was always a reason though, however stupid.

^^Pretty sure it was.

I'm pretty pleased to see that Thanos is being brought into Marvel's movie world. If only they hadn't fucked up the silver surfer and Galactus so badly they could have had something really cool to work with when they decide to make him their next main baddy.

^^Agreed, if the dude Loki had been talking had turned out to be the Silver Surfer and they revealed Galactus at the end I think people would have lost their shit in the auditorium.

Question though... why did Thor not have his winged helmet on once in the movie? Even in the Thor movie he only very briefly wore it. I think he looks a lot more badass when he has it on.

FUCKING....AWESOME.

Hulk definitely stole the show. Also make sure you stay til the END of the credits. Half the people in my theater left as soon as the credits started, then most of the others left after the mid-credits scene.
