Yes, because boycotting the largest shopping day of the year sure is going to boost the economy.

^ Eh that's not really what they're saying if you read it. They're saying rather than spending those dollars on Black Friday, spend those same dollars at local shops on Saturday.

As a seasonal employee at a big box store that shall remain nameless (but whose color scheme might be familiar to those who frequent this site), I have mixed feelings. As a worker, I appreciate the extra hours and income, and don't know of anybody who feels differently. As a human being, I want to facepalm myself so hard I suffer a massive concussion and die because of the American (and thus, world) economy's reliance on slack-jawed morons trying to buy flatscreens at 1:00 AM on a Friday.

Any theories on which mall will be least rage-inducing this weekend? I want to go to Williams-Sonoma and have a choice of Southpoint or Crabtree.

^ I would say Southpoint.

The big thing I'm afternoon is bedding stuff at Target. I should be good tomorrow. Though, I'm after a couple of games tonight at Wal-Mart. Most people will be aftere the tvs and computers. So, I should be fine.. I hope.

I'm trying to find out if any of the stores doing discounted video games are doing it for Skyrim or Skyward Sword.

I love black friday.

I like to go to all the stores just to wade through the horrible waves of humanity. I don't even buy anything usually, just like to watch as the mom with 17 kids tries to waddle her way through the isles to get that 5 dollar mixer at walmart.

My other favorite is grabbing some doorbuster, walking around the store with it for 10 minutes and selling it to someone else in the store for 5-10 bucks.

Another one is grabbing the last of (insert toy here) then waiting to see the first mom/kid who starts weeping because they are all gone. Then I walk up and say "hey I decided I don't need this after all" and seeing them go all punchdrunk happy.

Oh the joys of black Friday.

Also fun is starting arguments with people in line, or getting people to plot against one another.

I saw a 'deal' on BestBuy.com where you get a $10 gift card with the purchase of Skyward Sword. Online only, and this was yesterday so it's not tied to BF. I decided to just pick up Skyward Sword at BJ's because I didn't feel like waiting (delivery estimate 12/10 when I added it to the cart). BJ's had it for $46.99, so I only missed out on $7.

Other than that I wouldn't expect an epic deal on the two hottest games to come out in a long time. Why drop the price significantly when they know people will pay regular price anyway.

I saw a buy one get one 40% off at Toys R Us the other week and was hoping to get skyward and mario kart, but the sale expired by the time skyward released.

Lots of 'sky' games here lately. What's the next Bioshock game called? Skyshock Skycity?

Just bought a kitchenaid professional 600 series mixer for my wife from kohls.com for $317 (normally $500). On top of that, I got $74 in mail-in rebates, and $75 in kohl's cash, which is wonderful!

I was kinda hoping people would boycott Khol's over that Black Friday, Friday fun fun fun fun fun commercial. That thing forces me to have one finger on the mute button during all commercial breaks. If I don't mute quick enough the murderous rage builds to spill-over levels.

Couldn't sleep last night so ventured out in search of bedsheets and towels we've been desperately needing. First went to Walmart which was a complete waste of time. The sheets they had on special were absolute garbage and the cesspool of humanity was more than I could bare. Left and went to Kohls which was much calmer. Apparently nobody buys bedsheets or towels on Black Friday so got my pick. Also scored one of the comforter doorbusters and a sweater for 75% off. All in all got almost $400 worth of stuff for about $120. I can see why people get off on Black Friday shopping.

Then again, I saw people buying the DUMBEST SHIT just because it was on sale. I watched one redneck lady fill her basket which a shitload of 50% off toys while her husband kept telling her their kids didn't want the crap. She would retort,"But it's so cheap!" First off, 50% is a normal, every day sale at Kohls. Secondly, people like you are the reason Hoarders exists.

k so I went to Half-Price Books

two surprises:
there were more than enough ppl ahead of me to snag all the tote bags and gift cards
they weren't exactly mauling each other over the Gender Studies section

so I got that tale of transgender parenting, Dress Codes: Of Three Girlhoods-My Mother's, My Father's, and Mine (2002) by Noelle Howey, for almost 20% of the list price, even without that $5 gift card

also it's hard to make posts with HTML or CrazyCode on an iTouch4

Kohl's: Extra 20% off using code CYBER20. Looks like Kohl's has some good stuff. I want the barstools for $31, but that page isn't loading.

Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic: 30% off purchase, promo code HUGECYBER

Best Buy: $10 e-card with store pick-up orders of $100 or more.

It looks like most places are doing free shipping for their Cyber Monday "special."

Macy's has a Dyson on sale, but Home Depot has the entire line up to 25% off.
