I can't agree that the Shadow books are better. They have a geopolitical vision that is way oversimplified for now, and practically unthinkable in a world after a war with extraterrestrials. No, as books the Ender storyline is better. But if we had to pick one for movies or TV, it'd be Shadows, sure.

As for Ender's Game vs. Speaker...meh. I like them both. I like EG more.

I just like Bean better as a character. And Ender's Shadow > Ender's Game. Not to mention Achilles as a nemesis.

I read the book a few years ago and saw the movie recently and liked the movie, but probably only because I read the book and could fill in the gaps.

I just watched this for the first time and loved it!

I never read the book though so have nothing to compare it to.
