So here's what's going on -
Out of curiosity I searched for Monster cable on Craigslist. It appears that other discount websites and such are trying to carve into Monsters profits based on how Monster itself is marketed and the demographic they market to. It's the same concept as say P90x: they target certain populations with their infomercial, offer the product at an expensive price, then some place comes along and pirates the product or offers it cheaper to prey on the types of people who would even want it in the first place.
The way I see it, Monster hates the free market and the stupid people they specifically market their bullshit cables and headphones to. 1/17/2012 10:38:04 PM |

Picked up the Klipsch Reference RW-12d 12" Powered Sub from Newegg. It's pretty awesome! 1/17/2012 10:44:09 PM |

Quote : | "A reader forwarded us a post from the Audioholics Home Theater Forum and its author says no. He says his brother ran an experiment on him and four other audio aficionados listening to a new CD from a new group blindfolded. Seven different songs were played, each time heard with the speaker hooked up to Monster Cables, and the other time, hooked up to coat hanger wire. Nobody could determine which was the Monster Cable and which was the coat hanger. The kicker? None of the subjects even knew that coat hangers were going to be used." |

I have a pair of Shure 425's, I love them. Id recommend Shure for IEM's and Grado for can's. Only problem Ive notcied with Grado's is that they let a lot of sound leak out, so the person next to you will know exactly what your listening to, even at normal volume levels. 2/24/2012 10:26:56 AM |
