While I agree that face's positions are often skeptical, he's getting a lot of shit. I hesitated at first, but this is an attempt to analyze that infamous post. Let's take a look:

First, this is essentially redundant. If a team doesn't shoot 3s, then logically yes, they would have to attempt 2s or, “points inside the arc”, in order to gain points.

Second, what is the statement saying? "They don't shoot threes." He might as well have said they don't attempt threes. Not to be confused with, "they are a poor 3PT shooting team". face backs up this claim with the following data:

This is confirmed on StatSheet. Campbell’s 156 3PT attempts for the season ranked # 330 out of 345 division 1 teams. This doesn’t mean they literally don’t shoot 3s and it doesn’t mean they are a poor 3PT shooting team. It means compared to everyone else, they shoot a low number of attempts per game.

This is definitely true, and everyone knows it. It’s been hashed over and over all season long. So when we don’t guard the perimeter, it opens up and they hit nine 3s. Their coach is smart for recognizing that and attacking it.

Horrid is an exaggeration, we’ve played worse. They had allowed 73.6 PPG, which isn’t good, but isn’t horrid. Definitely below average.

Ohh, and I predict a 77-68 win for the Wolfpack! It will be a lot closer for most of the game than we would like though. Our prospects for the next three games, however, are a completely different story. Hopefully we can take at least 1 of the 3 games against Duke, FSU, and UNC.
