Damn this thread, I got bit by a spider a few days ago. The bite filled with pus and it was in a very uncomfortable spot...

Next day, found the spider nest near the doorway, had to kill them. They were small, light brown spiders, not sure what they were, but I don't think they were recluse spiders. Probably house spiders...

there are a lot of spiders that are very similar, with less potent toxins. I imagine you may have found a relative of the recluse.

I have no problem with spiders. Love those little guys because they kill all those damn flies and whatnot....


but if I wake up in the middle of the night with one crawling over me I will scream like a little girl and possibly soil myself.

the dead people were not killed by spiders, just mass hysteria over a tarantula breeding ground. Then anyone sick comes in complaining of a spider bite, but not bite marks and blood tests fail to show any athropod toxins.
