The Goons should go back to throwing bodies. Obviously just playing hockey isn't working well for them. (Yeah, yeah, I know that the Pens have been the thugs of this series...)

That game was written off five minutes into the second. Won't matter, Flyers in 5.

Marty sets yet another record (is now the all time playoff shutout leader at 24) in the Devils 4-0 redemption game!

oh red wings... too old, too soft right now

unless there are some big changes in skaters for some youth, size, and speed, we will no longer be the dominant standard in the nhl.

dumping lids' 7 mil a year and holmstrom 1.5 will be a lot of cap room right there for holland to work with, and he always performs well when needed.

Torres gets 25

A pretty good deal for the Coyotes really, Blackhawks hurt bad without Hossa and Phoenix won't miss a beat

The hit he was suspended for was even close to the worst of the several the showed in the video. But the fact that they showed several prior hits and Hossa's injury I suppose got him 25. If that was a first time offender, I could see that hit being like 7, mostly because of the injury.

Wow. Talk about a shift in momentum. Up 2-0 with the Bruins looking lost, and 19 seconds later (or whatever it was), they have all the momentum.

This motherfucker was warned/fined/suspended for charging and headshots in three consecutive games, not to mention his other suspensions for the same stuff. He had it coming.

That interview makes a lot more sense when it doesn't auto-load without a caption on your phone.

I think I'll dust off my early 90's Kings hat and jump on their bandwagon as my Western Conference bandwagon team.

That was a hell of a series. Good no-call at the end, but I hate to see it finish like that.

What would've been called? Didn't see anything worth a penalty.

Chris Neil pitchforks Lundqvist out of the crease, then kicks the puck in...goal counts. Tim Peel, everybody!

The Rangers live on to break my heart another day.

What I said in the season thread:
Quote :
"Rangers may have peaked too soon, but I'm not worried about the playoffs until they have to play another Atlantic team. Hopefully Pitt and Philly will play each other first and wear themselves down."

I'm praying Washington pulls off the upset, otherwise it will be the Flyers coming in (if we can just hold down the Senators)

I personally guarantee a capitals win here, because home teams don't win G7 OTs

Finally a multi-OT game and in a game 7 no less

I haven't seen the Panthers fans rockin it like this in 15 years. I forever wait for the day when the city of Miami slips quietly away into the sea, but as a fan of hockey, it's cool to see the sport rockin a non-traditional hockey city in the meantime.
