^As advanced as Curiosity is, the human brain is still light years ahead of it when it comes to decision making. It's going to be a very long time before humans are able to create a machine capable replicating the thought process of a brain. 8/6/2012 9:08:50 AM |

There isn't really decision making needed on mars and no human could last 10 years anyway. All of the decision making is done at the control room. Its not like its an autonomous bot (which will be coming soon).8/6/2012 11:05:25 AM |

Significant scientific achievement? Perhaps, perhaps not.
Significant engineering achievement? Absolutely, and that's equally deserving of attention as a scientific one.
EDIT: LOL after I clicked on the link.

Quote : | "“You know the difference between the Mars rover and the Higgs boson?” said a NASA spokesman, his face red with anger. “You can actually see the Mars rover.”
The NASA official went on to say that “I can understand why the Higgs people think they found something that’s real and all, but as far as I can tell their so-called ‘boson’ is about as real as a leprechaun or a Smurf.”
