cant wait to see next weeks episode. with carver not getting killed, keeping more things from carrie to see where it goes with brody is crazy
11/6/2012 12:46:57 PM
The daughter plotline has ruined the past few episodes. I want to watch a terrorist action film, not a soap opera.
11/6/2012 5:48:49 PM
as aimorris said to me, it's very reminiscent of kim bauer shenanigans
11/6/2012 8:44:44 PM
carver wasnt killed? i thought the "new CIA guy" was the only one to survive the attack?
11/6/2012 9:06:55 PM
I was listening to the Hitfix podcast talking about the interrogation episode. They said they didnt like it because Carrie undid in 45 minutes what it took Nazir years to do. Does anyone actually think Brody is good now? I think its crazy to believe Carrie some how turned him back to the good side. Yeah she broke him down emotionally, but if he is actually good then I think the show has failed. I am amazed at how much they are trusting him already, and his comment about them having a tail on him.. yeah, buddy, you almost blew up half the White House staff, you are lucky you arent in jail.
11/7/2012 9:53:36 AM
I don't think Brody has reversed his thinking just from that 45 minutes but I think him being around his family and daughter again has made him want to protect them more and that is why he is helping out. He is clearly still in a mental battle about it or he would have told them about the secret codes he stole (of course he could say he knew they had them, not that he stole them). Either way, epic show, can't wait for more.
11/7/2012 12:08:31 PM
I definitely could see him turning eventually, due to a combination of all those factors, but I would think they would be at least a little bit wary that he is still working for Nazir.
11/7/2012 12:41:39 PM
Absolutely, there is no reason to trust him 100% right now and I thought it was odd that Carrie took such offense to that.
11/7/2012 12:48:29 PM
You haven't been paying attention if you think Brody is 100% turned back.
11/9/2012 6:11:44 PM
As I said, I think he will turn eventually. But the characters seem to trust him completely up until the last scene with Carrie, and he acts like they should be trusting him completely. I didn't like him calling them out about the car following him, I know thats minor but he was acting really entitled considering the situation.
11/9/2012 10:04:38 PM
Solid SNL skit there.
11/10/2012 11:55:06 PM
So I am getting sick of this Dana storyline, but I think I figured out its purpose. It is pretty evident the producers want to keep Brody heavily involved, but that only goes so far with him as a terrorist. Well Abu Nazir wants revenge due to his son dying, what if he goes after Waldens son. So far the Walden has been made out to be a scumbag, there is almost sympathy for Nazir and Brodys reasoning for turning. What if this culminates in Waldens son and Brody dying, maybe through a school bombing. This would turn the audience clearly against Nazir and fully behind Brody, and would be a believable reason for him to go full good guy.
11/11/2012 11:30:45 PM
Hard for Brody to go full good guy if he's dead.
11/12/2012 8:56:49 PM
Er. Meant Brody's son. I'm pretty convinced this is the best way to clear up so many loose storylines.
11/12/2012 9:37:30 PM
I actually don't mind the Dana character. At least she's interesting, unlike 90% of kid characters on adult TV shows (I'm looking at you, Walter Jr.).
11/12/2012 11:03:10 PM
It would make more sense for Dana and or Finn to get killed. No one cares about Chris. He's said like 5 words the entire show.
11/13/2012 6:50:09 AM
I said Finn (Waldens son). And thats exactly why they could use the chance to take out Chris too. I think Dana is too good of an actress and too important to the show to be killed off at this point. However with Chris dying they could use it to swing Brody either way. Either its his motivation to turn good, or they reveal he knew the attack was going to happen the whole time and willingly sacrificed his son. Maybe throw in a scene of him telling Dana to stay home from school that day as she is still upset over the crash.
11/13/2012 7:13:22 AM
except that if you watched the last episode at all you'd know that Finn just got sent away to be secluded until way after the presidential election and will never again be near dana/chris...

11/13/2012 6:12:17 PM
So Danny is still alive huh. Maybe he's still the mole! The way they brought him up this episode was random
11/15/2012 3:55:23 AM
those turrists have some good monetary resources
11/18/2012 11:17:10 PM
I really hate Carrie so much
11/19/2012 7:56:45 PM
Poor Dana. Trying to do the right thing and everyone is STFU DANA. Wonder how many times Mike banged her out.
11/19/2012 10:19:20 PM
7 years of banging her out
11/19/2012 10:51:57 PM
11/19/2012 11:10:05 PM
you can't help but compare her to jack bauer, in that they both make decisions that seem to be impulsive and reckless. the difference being that in 24, the audience is already aware that jack is making the right call. in homeland, we don't really know if carrie is right, or just being psycho. it makes her character really interesting, but also really hard to root for. most of the time i just want to slap the shit out of her.

11/20/2012 10:01:20 AM
11/20/2012 10:08:07 AM
So is it a given that the CIA guy that got shot is a mole?
11/20/2012 10:33:32 AM
when brody talks:
11/20/2012 12:23:02 PM
Dick Winters would never have become a terrorist.
11/20/2012 1:06:07 PM
Charlie Crews would have never broken, but he would have said some ancient Buddhist proverb, mess with everyone's head and then do a rolling burnout in his copped out Bentley Continental.
11/20/2012 7:58:48 PM
Show becoming almost unwatchable thanks to Carrie.
11/21/2012 10:38:57 AM
^^ You should add, while eating fresh produce. i liked Life. I think it's on Amazon Prime.
11/21/2012 10:45:54 AM
^oh nice call.
11/21/2012 11:21:13 AM
Pro-tip: Mute the tv and just read the CC during long Carrie scenes
11/21/2012 11:24:05 AM
let's brainstorm a list of actresses who would be better as Carrie
11/21/2012 1:22:13 PM
^Claire Danes isn't the issue. She's a fine actress, the character is just poorly written. Carrie is the most unbelievable part of this show, and that is saying something.
11/21/2012 5:22:07 PM
Quit watching then.Nothing's worse than you people who post how much a show sucks...right after they watch it, every week.
11/21/2012 5:25:00 PM
Dara Dahl?my guess at the spelling anyway
11/25/2012 10:40:10 PM
^has he been mentioned before??
11/25/2012 10:56:46 PM
not that i can remember until this episode
11/25/2012 11:02:35 PM
that was a pretty damn good episode last night.
11/26/2012 4:07:32 PM
^ +1
11/26/2012 4:11:26 PM
i think it's realistic that they would off Brody once they get their man. you can't just forgive that he was part of the whole first assassination attempt (and resulting deaths). they have my blessing.
11/26/2012 6:24:43 PM
i was all ready with my OH SHIT face ...
11/26/2012 8:58:52 PM
great episode
11/26/2012 11:23:45 PM
11/27/2012 12:07:53 AM
haha
11/27/2012 2:07:45 AM
Can somebody fill me in on the attraction to Carrie? It seems like for somebody that meddled so much in his family life that he supposedly takes so seriously now, he wouldn't want to have anything to do with her. She's clearly unstable and looks like a zombie imo. I guess it could just be leverage into his deeper plots with Nasir but at this point it seems like he's going legit, but that could easily be the direction the writers are leading us in.
