Dave... No matter how good the show gets...

They're always gonna say... "It's not as funny as last season..."

It's just people hating because it's cool to hate the Office now... or maybe it really is bad. Nope, it's only possible for shows to get better.

So he tossed the flowers into the trash in rage when he lost the attraction? He interpreted her dressing up like him as something more than it was and got rejected.

^Yeah I didn't think the reaction was because he lost interest but that she wasn't interested in him which would make more sense for why he threw the flowers, although the scene was still confusing.

What I do know, is that it wasn't funny.

Yes.

Dwight sniffing the pill with his pig snout was the highlight for me. So... yeah.

This is how I interpreted it. I thought it was pretty straightforward, but it's certainly possible I'm wrong.

As for the episode, I enjoyed it. It wasn't amazing, but I thought it was ok.

I recall most Halloween / Holiday episodes of the Office being notoriously good.

NBC cancels Dwight Schrute spin-off

so when it's over, it's over.

Hahahahaha. That's the first I've heard that they were even thinking of a spin off. Now I see that they even filmed the pilot for "The Farm." I hope they end up airing it, it's always interesting to see just how low the limbo bar can go.

Can't believe this has not been bumped for last weeks episode. The Oscar/Kevin line was great and so was the radio bit. Did not care as much for Andy and the boat, but I thought the other two bought the lulz.

so my DVR no longer recognizes new The Office episodes as "new". i had to set my season pass to record new & reruns on Thursday nights in order for them to record.

I guess my DVR is over this show like I am.

after these past couple of episodes, this show is damn close to being back to the show that we all loved so very very much

(and it's not a coincidence that the best episodes in a year and a half are the ones with little to no Andy)

I liked last week's episode and the one before that, but I thought last night's episode was terrible.

Last night's episode was hilarious! Glad to see it doing well again, regardless of how short lived.

The last scene with Toby just had me rolling

I like how they went for dark humor but they didn't go far enough. That guy should have knee capped Kevin or something. Can we at least hear some of Creed's complaints?

I find it interesting how the rest of the office just doesn't care that Jim is leaving for a new career and nobody is doing any work.

Is there some reason the writers have essentially pushed Andy out of the show? How many episodes has it been since we've seen him?

Well it's not surprising that removing the focal points made the show funnier. Even in the earlier seasons I found more of the secondary characters more entertaining than anything Michael was doing on the show. So when they removed him I thought it would be better by making the rest of the cast more of the focal point, instead it was an awkward transition to Andy. Andy went from a great secondary character to a not-so-great focal point. Removing the focal point and making it more of an ensemble approach works a lot better for this show.

The show went from like 5% Creed, down to like 1% Creed, now back up to 4-5% Creed, and the show is better for it.

I thought this as well. It seemed more like something you would roll your eyes at and maybe hang up on.... it did not seem genuine. Plus the whole Pam breaking down thing was a little over dramatic for me, and a downer. But I did laugh when they panned out and actually showed the crew.

I guess I wished it would have ended on a funnier note, instead of Pam boohooing to the film crew she is definitely banging

Eh, it was probably the most realistic writing on the whole show. That's exactly the type of silly shit married couples stress out and then blow up over. Have enjoyed this season since Andy went sailing.
