Finally caught up with it and wow. Holy shit it is going out with a bang. I hate how the networks never let a scripted show develop anymore. If it doesn't hit the ground running then its fucked and replaced with some shitty "reality" show. Ugh.

^ that's really the only thing i can think of as for direction in S2. one of the previous episodes, it was mentioned that a coup was forming in the US amongst high officials and high ranking military. so i could see that as being a huge role for S2. but after that, not sure how the island and the submarine sailors would play into that.

We back for the final 3. Looks like they are starting to really accelerate things now!

Gotta say one thing that pissed me off was the attack on the Chinese boat. I'm sorry, but I don't think that an AEGIS cruiser in a storm is going to use a damn Phalanx cannon. The 5" gun is usually the gun of choice for something like that I would imagine.

^No way they can pick it up now with the ending we got. It was pretty good, I thought. Had some qualms with some of it, but really they did not have a lot of time to wrap this thing up from the time they got the word on cancellation. All in all, I can't complain. Was worth watching.

the cob overthrows the captain, who is overthrown by the rapist and a few guys. chinese are sending military boats in because the rapist was going to turn the boat over to them for $china. Lt Shepard finds an AK and shoots up all of the screens and controls and grabs the cob and they run and hide in the torpedo room, but the cob is shot. the rapist's guys take a torch and start cutting the door down and shepard and cob release fuel and light it on fire to release a gas to knock out the other guys. captain and xo end up teaming back up to make sure china doesn't get the sub by taking over directional control and run it into the shore, after they get a message to sophie who's able to talk to Washington and tell them to blow up the sub because it's been hijacked. the rapist tries to attack the captain but gets shot 6 or 7 times. with the sub grounded everyone but the captain off the ship some f/a 18s or something hit it with two missles and blow it the fuck up. meanwhile our weapons dealer lady kylie sinclair gets the flash drive with the video, is forced to kill her bf, she gives the flash drive to the xo's wife to give to the media, goes into a meeting with the president (they think she's on their side now) and kills him. the end.

Yeah, the ending blew me away. I knew that they wanted the show to end after being cancelled. Everything happened so fast and just ended so bluntly. I was also hoping the show would get picked up elsewhere, but after that ending I was like Oh Shit...Dayum!
