Quote : | "The Seminoles rank 4th (behind Alabama, Texas, and Notre Dame), and FSU was #1 before its lackluster win over SOFLA last weekend. It's the FSU offense that has led it from a top 15 program to national championship contender. FSU ranks:
6th in scoring offense (51.0) 8th in rushing offense (261.4) 6th in QB efficiency (177.2) 9th in total offense (544.6) 9th with 30 plays of 20+ yards 13th with 14 plays of 30+ yards 5th with 9 plays of 40+ yards
Florida State's ability to pick up big chunks of yardage is particularly troubling for the Wolfpack, as they are one of the worst teams in the FBS in terms of allowing massive gains. In fact, State is 124th-dead last-in surrendering plays from scrimmage of over 40 yards (14)." |

This game seems like it will be easy money for gamblers. I just see no way State keeps this game close with 60% of the starting OL injured and our shit defense. The only way we keep this close is if we can control the ball and score some points which I doubt we'll be able to do on FSU's D. 10/5/2012 12:29:38 PM |

I think the loudest ive ever heard carter finley was right before kick off against #3 miami the night gameday came to raleigh... Its saddens me i called the opening kick off return for a td, but then we recovered the ensuing onside kick and the stadium absolutely errupted shit was deafening. Then we marched right down for a score. Place was pretty nuts
We ended up getting rolled :x final was 45-31 but it was never that close. The air apparent Jay Davis did toss 4 tds but 4 fumbles killed us 10/6/2012 1:43:34 PM |

^Yeah I was at that one. We did get louder again once we made some plays, but I don't think it ever got back up to the level it was at just before Hester ran the opening kickoff back for a TD.
That was the fastest I think I've heard Carter-Finley go from absolute frenzy to dumbfounded silence. 10/6/2012 1:53:58 PM |

Yeah after halftime everyone left and went to the fair because we were down by like 30. We got garbage time touchdowns against their backups.10/6/2012 2:27:07 PM |

yeah as of right now FSU, Notre Dame, and Texas all look like worthy challengers for Alabama.

Oregon is the 2nd best team in college football but they'd get run off the field against Bama.
Of course, so would FSU and Texas. ND might have a shot if you gave them a real QB 10/6/2012 4:38:11 PM |

They've beaten three of the top 25 teams in the country and they have one of the best defenses in the nation. They're clearly a top team.
Oregon is solid and they don't play any good teams so they could definitely get to the Championship, but I'd like to see Alabama take on someone thats more on their level. 10/6/2012 4:58:29 PM |

maybe after they crush Miami today you'll understand.
I'm not saying Oregon can't improve, but their offense just isn't there yet and their special teams has been awful for a team that wants to compete nationally. 10/6/2012 5:09:59 PM |

What?
They have wins of Michigan and Michigan State, both of whom were ranked, but are currently not. There other wins are over Purdue and Navy. I'll be impressed if they hang with Stanford. Until then we'll know virtually nothing about ND, and we're not going to learn anything about them if they beat Miami. Miamis is almost as bad as NC State this year.10/6/2012 5:16:51 PM |

this isn't really an argument. Oregon's offense hasn't looked that effective this year.
Maybe they'll get it going, or maybe they won't.

look i havent said anything even remotely controversial yet and i dont even enjoy college football so i dont care to talk about this anymore.
Notre Dame has clearly been better than Oregon thus far. I'm not saying Oregon CAN'T get to their level but ND, FSU, and Texas are the only teams putting fear into Alabama right now.
^^ and ^^^ the "rankings" you are referring to are irrelevant to me. When they start ranking teams accurately, I'll start looking at them.
