I can't believe this thread made it past page 1, let alone to a 3rd.

Keep TOB, for now at least. 5-1 vs our rival is still great. Positives currently outweigh the negatives. I only expected 7 wins coming in to this year, but I feel we can still get 8 (9 if we win our bowl game). If TOB is able to get 8-9 win seasons every year, I will be happy. Is TOB a perfect coach? No. Is it worth firing him for being anything less than perfect? No. We needed someone to stabilize our football program, make it respectible and competive, and own our rivals. Overall, he has done that. Let TOB run his contract out, maybe add 2-3 more years. After that, we can get an upgrade.

it actually was the weakest first 4 minutes to start a game, getting down 15 to nothing with 11 minutes to go in the first quarter

bottom line is, and i hate to admit it but i'm over the heartbreak so i can, Saturday's UNC/NCSU game was a fucking awesome football game...if i didn't like either team, it would be a helluva game to watch

we just happened to lose (and i think they got away with holding on the punt return TD)

Charlie Strong is not leaving Louisville to come to NCSU. That's lateral at best. He's going SEC soon.

Kirby Smart is another pipe dream. With Auburn, Arkansas, and Tennessee opening, those two will be candidates at all three.

We probably end up with James Franklin (Maryland Yow connection) or a Bowden. Meh. Least Terry would probably bring Chuck as the DC and make it interesting.

Also, our next HC in football should just be whoever does best between the MAC and Sun Belt this year. There will be little competition for that coach (except Malzahn) from bigger schools and they've likely done a lot with a little, which is really the best we can get.
