NyM410 and wlb420 did not prepare for me this.
And I missed nearly the entire Pack win due to a last minute social obligation with a Chapel Hill fan.
Never again. I'd rather be a bad friend than a bad fan.

WTF? UNC makes no sense this year. None.
If PJ and McDonald come back they could obviously be title contenders in a year like this.
I'm at a loss..

Alabama was #1 one year and missed the tourney.

I watched the entire game (and I've watched the majority of their games so far this year)...and I still don't think they're a good team. It's still an impressive win...but it was just a weird game. Other than Marcus Paige hitting some threes in the 2nd half, they got all of their points off of second chances and post-ups. I think Johnson and Meeks are solid, but they couldn't miss a shot this game...and that won't happen much. And other than the last 7 or 8 minutes of the first half, Michigan State played like shit. They were losing 50/50 balls and looked like one of Herb's old teams jackin threes left and right. And Izzo's balls shrivel up against Roy. He kept putting in a useless Payne in the 2nd half who cramped up every 5 seconds. He also put in a 6'6" Kaminsky who was getting abused by UNC's big men. Britt also played his best game of the year. This game might have turned the switch on for him, but even so, at his best he's still a homeless man's Cat Barber.
UNC is definitely a Jekyll and Hyde team...but I think they're more Hyde than Jekyll. Play their big men tough and put your best defender on Paige and you should be fine. 12/5/2013 7:46:19 AM |

Can't believe I live in a world where Sid Lowe has a better winning percentage against Roy Williams than Tom Izzo. 12/5/2013 7:47:44 AM |

Lets not forget that this Michigan State team was also down 7 in the 2nd half to a 5-4 Columbia team that lost to Elon.
I've never seen a Spartan team shoot so many jump shots. It was just a strange strange game.

Agree with J Brick. They don't look like a good team and have zero options beyond Paige from the perimeter. They also don't have any playmakers beyond Paige, and he's not on the Felton, Lawson, etc level
That said, they won the game because they outworked and out-toughed Mich St. That’s definitely commendable. You’ve got to crash the boards hard against them, or they’ll make you pay.
Good for the ACC, I guess. 12/5/2013 11:10:09 AM |

Looks like the challenge ended in a tie, 6-6. Is that right? 12/5/2013 6:09:59 PM |
