Dude, you have only posted in this thread, to either promote your movie or complain about people who said they didn't like it. What would you know about this board based on this 1 thread.
Think about it like this: You walked into a crowded house party. The door was wide open so you just came in. You don't know anyone there, just that you all go/went to the same school of 30K+ people. You stuck your home recorded album in the CD player for people to hear, some people said they like it, some people didn't. You then proceed to get into an argument with the first stranger that said he didn't like it.
We don't know you, we have no reason to caudle coddle you or be nice in criticism. This board is very kind and supportive to creative individuals, but a lot of those people have been on here before they started posting their work. They understand who is trolling, who is worthy of giving critique, and that to promote something they need some credibility before people will take them seriously.
This seems to be you're first foray into the wide world of the internet. Some sites and forums are heavily moderated to prevent trolling or overly negative comments, while some are less restrictive allowing for unfiltered posting and unrestrictive moderation. TWW is the latter, it does open the gates for trolls and generally offensive people, but it also allows for a pretty organic conversation flow and discussion that can produce some really awesome gems.
I'd suggest posting in other threads and other boards. Provide insight into topics you're knowledgeable about and ask questions where you want to know more. If you go to chit chat you can post pretty much anything you want.
And by all means, if someone says something you don't like, don't respond to them. 9/10 times they said that just to get a rise out of you, and if you play into it you will always lose.
Edit: I finally had a chance to watch the video. It was OK. I think you're main issues were the time constraints you were under. The dialogue seemed hokey and not thoroughly vetter, which I think would work better with a hokier style of editing (ie. "Did the suspect look like THIS" zoom in really fast too tight to the face). The bitch and nice dick lines were funny, I think making an effort to add in that kind of unexpected comedy into the next project would be a good idea. Also, I didn't see the problems with the audio that others had. Recording outdoors can be difficult, with a lot of uncontrollabel environmental sounds. I think you did a good job of keeping the actors voices the primary sound. I'm sure better equipment would improve things, but you gotta work with what you got.

I watched it. As a send-up of campus police work, I was not a fan. But there were some little things I liked a lot, like the spoofier buddy cop bits. I mean, anytime you got guys with staches saying "let's boogie" as they hop out a car, that's good stuff, and I am 100% on board. Straight away, spoof, homage...doesn't matter...buddies are the best. 6/5/2013 10:55:08 AM |

i agree with this. It would be much better suited for a very subtle documentary-styled comedy rather than slapstick antics and over the top characters. In fact, when I opened the video that was really what I had in mind to appreciate. Instead, i get supertroopers and I hate that movie and that type of humor generally.6/5/2013 1:30:55 PM |

You never know. Some twelve year olds are quite talented at their respective arts.

Understandable.

I'm more used to debate forums utilizing the former. I was never 100% on board with all the restrictions on those sites, but how does TWW keep things from degenerating into a flame war?

We were definitely worried about offending people who were victims of serious crimes, which obviously aren't funny in the slightest. We made it intentionally over-the-top to try to cut down on any perceived insensitivity.6/5/2013 7:02:56 PM |

Well I went into the movie expecting it to be blah, and was not really entertained during the first part. It got funnier the longer I watched it though, so props for that. The audio could be better, but my biggest gripe is how slow paced it was, especially in the beginning. If you can tighten it up a bit more so that the scenes are shorter and the dialogue clearer I think it would be much better. The bad acting is excusable since it's an obvious parody and you can just pawn off the bad acting as being part of the farce. 6/11/2013 11:02:33 PM |

^^ I agree. This shouldn't be a reason to quit, you should keep going, no one gets it right the first time.... and as far as film making goes, not many people can get it right the 3rd, 4rth, or 5th time either 6/13/2013 12:35:38 AM |

yup you just have to listen to what people are saying and weigh it with your personal goals and visions in creating films. 6/13/2013 1:00:43 AM |
